What happened to me was nothing compared to what workers had to go through in the last century including beatings, being cheated out of their pay and outright murder.
I worked as a car salesman for a GM franchise dealership. I had always bought all my cars there so did my parents. The sales manager is a great guy and was our salesman and friend. I was out of work so he gave me a job. The owner was a pos. Every deal he would go into the computer and raise the price of the vehicle I sold to cut me out of money. (Like if we gave someone $5000 for their trade and I sold it for $7000 he would raise the trade price to $6000 in addition to any work done on the vehicle.) So I left there after I caught on and worked for an even bigger scum bag that changed my pay plan from a percentage to a volume to really screw me. My end went from $8000 in commission to $500, $50 a car. I would have never sold that many cars ever again because I stayed there for one more month and everyone I talked to I told them that he was a ripoff artist and gave them my original manager’s card and he cut me a check for $100 per referral that he sold which was about 20 lol I don’t expect anyone to feel bad for a car salesman lol but the moral of the story is capitalists HAVE to rip someone off. With the internet it’s nearly impossible to rip off a customer by the owner just can’t be satisfied with a decent deal for us and a decent deal for the customer (which was my guy’s motto) so he’s got to rip his employees off. Capitalism in a nutshell.
Somewhat mixed feelings because I love doggos and would want an appropriately sized one to be on my lap on a flight. (Not a Great Dane for instance, who would probably need his own seat lol.) Relatively speaking a permissible kind of Karen. But still a Karen.
Nice job, waddlin' Mom. That's the way to bring up your morbidly obese kid there. Gosh, I hope I can help pay for your insulin, new knees, new hips and $200,000 bariatric surgery since you "tried everything" to lose weight....
But ultimately she is a victim of a system that doesn't care what crap people have to eat. In this capitalistic society they make billions selling fast food, snacks, sodas, etc. - all of which are addictive also.
Yeah, you said it. 75% if the store is devoted to junk food. They need a slogan. How about "Obesity.....it's the new smoking..."
It’s one thing If she was doing out of love for her child, but she was doing it mostly for herself because that’s where most of the candy is going to end up.
I doubt any of these Karens can be charged with anything legally, maybe in some juridsdictions. Then again, I don't think the homeowners could be charged if they sneaked in Ex Lax in those candy wrappers either.
Correct; It’s like putting a desk or sofa outside the house with a sign saying FREE, If someone takes it away they can't be charged with theft
