Anyway Biden is speaking in Philadelphia tonight at 8 pm EST. He's expected to tear Trump and MAGA a new one, and we should all watch. Biden's prime-time speech to call out Trump, his loyalists | AP News
He made his speech and I think he hit a bullseye. Quote: But the heart of Biden’s address was a roaring siren about what he called “an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic.” “MAGA forces are determined to take this country backwards. Backwards to an America where there is no right to choose, no right to privacy. No right to contraception, no right to marry who you love,” he said. “They promote authoritarian leaders,” he went on. “They fanned the flames of political violence.” Biden warns Trump and his closest followers are trying to undermine American democracy in combative speech | CNN Politics
I think he's going to make his move now - he's probably confident he's got other 'things' locked up now...
Unbelievable! But do you think the viewers will catch the irony? All the video lacks are MTG, Matt Gaetz, Ron Johnson, Jim Jordan and Louie Gohmert to round out the all-star cast of MAGA lowlife All Stars. They're exactly what Biden was warning us about!
"today, America’s economy is faster, stronger than any other advanced nation in the world. (Applause.)" We are currently experiencing the worst economy since the Great Depression. Telling me that other countries are suffering even more does nothing to elevate my spirits as Corporations assume total control over the newly impoverished People.
Hmmmm, How so? Your comment calls for explanation. The US added 6.6 million jobs in the first 12 months of Biden’s term, more than the US added in any year going back to 1939, when this data series was first published.Unemployment is now down to 3.7%--a record low. In January and February this year, the US added more than a million jobs, the highest addition in the past several years. Last month, U.S. job openings unexpectedly rose to a near record: over 11 million. Not exactly consistent with "the worst economy since the Great Depression. Weren't you around at the end of the Bush presidency in 2008 when rising unemployment and mass foreclosures displaced close to 10 million Americans? Now that was the worst economy since the Great Depression, which is why economists call it the Great Recession. Recessions generally occur when there is a widespread drop in spending. At the moment, there is too much spending, as consumers emerge from the Covid pandemic, which is primarily why we're experiencing inflation. On the bright side, gasoline and food prices have been falling recently. The big concern is that the Fed, which was keeping interest rates at historic lows throughout the Trump era, will raise them so high and fast to cope with the inflation it helped to cause that there will be a recession, perhaps intentionally, to get things under control. Too bad you're down in the dumps, but Covid created dislocations that the U.S., like other countries of the world, must deal with as best they can.
The economy? While we were on the brink of a recession a short time ago, things are getting better. Employment is going up while prices are going down. Granted the prices are changing rather slowly, but in the next two months before the midterm election I'm sure they'll come down considerably more. I just hope they keep coming down after the election.
Everyone knows fascism is when you light stuff red. But when you light stuff up in Red, White, and Blue, and you still call it fascism - it's because you're the fascist
