Based on the Bible, ministers in the 1600s-1800s preached that the Jews would return to the land of Israel. THE DECLARATION OF THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE STATE OF ISRAEL May 14, 1948 Ezekiel 36:24 "`For I will take you (the Jews) out of the nations; I will gather you from all the countries and bring you back into your own land" (written about 700 b.c.)
Useing your logic, if a woman is only 3 months pregnant, I guess her pregnancy is a failure. In reality, if you wait to term, she will conceive a child. And anyone who see her condition could predict that. Jews are leaving Russia in record numbers. And the Bible speaks much about America, and what will motivate the Jews to leave the states as well.
No, I am here... The prophecy concerning the Jew's return is one that is in process still of being fulfilled. God stated that He would return them from all nations to the land of Israel... well after 2000 years of being kicked out of their land and scattered throughout the world... God's words have held true... and the Jews became a nation again in 1948 and every year since then masses of Jews are piling into Israel. In fact, recently, America was beat out by Israel as holding the most Jewish people. Yet that is not all... the Bible also declared that when the Jews returned to the land of Israel, they would no longer be a divided kingdom but rather one nation. And with that the Bible also predicted that Jews would no longer be ruled by multiple rulers as they once were, but rather ruled only by one. Go ahead and check they are ONE nation, under ONE ruler... and it was all predicted in the Bible. Furthermore, the Bible also predicts the exact sequence the Jews would reclaim the land of Israel. It states that they would first take Judah (which they did in 1948) and then Jerusalem second (which they did in 1967). Pull out a history but because this prophecy came true and was fully fulfilled after the Six Day War. God doesn't lie... He does fulfill His word and Israel is living proof.
To Hellopeople: Back in the Old Testament days the land the Jews know have was first granted to them by God... Many years later the Jewish people where kicked out of Israel by the Romans and most have thought to have never return to the land that was ALWAYS promised to them. Well long written down in the Bible... God knew before hand they would be kicked out and He states all over the Bible but spefically in Ezekiel 36:24 that He will bring His people back to the land that he promised. Well, about 60 years about, after 2000 years the Jews again reclaimed the land of Israel and just as God said they would, the Jews are returning from all nations where they had been scattered. Ultimately, the Jews are not in Israel because of a coincidence but rather a God incidence.
I gave you things that you can question... turns out your the non-thinker. If everything I am saying is not true... how did those ministers in the 1600s-1800s know that the Jews would return hundreds of years before hand.... I can tell you are not even remotely interested in seekin the truth and but only refutting
Keep in mind, you called ME out to test the validy of the Bible's prophecies. I responded and presented a post with facts and you presented me a post with complaining... I will repost the same post again... there are number of things you can question or debate... and it is up to you if you want to debate my post that I have created in response to your post or you can just complain about it... your choice. "I'd like the Christian posters here (some of whom are very fond of the prophecy apologetic) to quote their best, flagship examples of Bible prophecy. Let's see if your favorite Bible prophecies are worthless as compelling reasons to believe Christianity (which they demonstrably are if they fail these tests.)" -FEDUPAMERICAN (May 13, 2006)
FedUp, I read your posts in the Debunking Prophecy thread and was impressed...whether you wrote it all or copied and pasted and put it together it was well done and presented lots of food for discussion...I thought, well FedUp's gotten down to business and has decided to lay off the emotional outbursts and attacks or has gotten it out of his system or whatever...and now this. Man, you can't keep your temper for five minutes...JDFU and Campbell are opinionated but they can certainly engage in a back and forth discussion, and remain gentlemen about it. Time for some serious Anger Management, dude.
you're comparison of rhode island and america is completely wrong, fedup. here's some pix: Ancient Israel: Modern Israel:
Cool, FedUp...you're an intelligent guy who's lived life and you have a lot to say. I just hate to see your short fuse self-destruct your credibility here.
In Ezekiel 38 God tells the Jews that in the latter years they shall return to the land of Israel, and Gog with many people with him from the north will invade their land. God tells us that all of this will happen in the latter days. Ezekiel 38:16. God also tells us, that He in that day will defend the Jewish people, but not for their sakes, because the Jews profained His name where ever they wandered. But God would defend them because of His Holy name. And by doing this, the nations of the world would see who God is. Ezk. 38:23 Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I (am) the Lord. It is no acciden that the Jews are back in Israel at this time. In Zechariah 12:2 God tells us that God will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, In Zec. 12:3 God tells us in that day will I make Jerusalme a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, thought all the people of the earth be gathered together against it. In Zec. 12:7 God tells us that in the day of fulfillment God would give Juda or south Israel back to the Jews first. This happened in 1948, then the prophecy states that Jerusalem would be retaken second. This happened just as the Bible predicted, in 1967. In Zec. 12:10 God tells the Jews in the day He saves their nation, the Jews will look upon Him who they pierced. Zec 12:10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for (his) only (son), and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for (his) firstborn. NOW, I WONDER WHO THAT COULD BE? And it appears that the Jews are going to be so upset when they see who this person is that even the families will have to seperate and morn for him, as so stated in verse 12, 13, 14. Now who could this person be?
Must be one of those Jews we keep hearing about. Did you know Israel is ranked 19th in the world in non-belief (atheism/agnostic/ does not believe in God) rate, with a rate somewhere between 15-37%?
Israel will not stop. This is the Hidden Jewish Elite's Agenda. They want to make the Third Reich. Where the Jew is supreme, and the Gentile is their slave. They wrote the prophecy with this in mind. THen lied through all of history. We thought it all was Euro-centric. Its not ITs Jewcentric. All Western Civ is. The real slaves of Egypt were dark black nubians. They wrote the prophecy knowing one day through conspiracy and world domination behind the scenes they could fullfill it. And make the world a one world empire under their King David. Now with the events of the Holocaust Ideas like this can't even be brought up. It disguists me.
The prophecies of the Bible will be found in both the Old and New Testaments. And in many cases to understand the prophecy, you will need both Testaments. This is certainly true of the prophecies that speak of the United States. Also you will find three hundred prophecies that speak of Christ in the Old Testament, and you will find Him fulilling those prophecies in the New Testament. The Bible stated thousands of years ago, that the last great war on earth will be fought over the control of Jerusalem. Mark Twain use to speak of Jerusalem as the city that will never rise again. MARK TWAIN SHOULD OF READ HIS BIBLE. The Bible also tells us, that at the same time the Jews return to Israel, Jerusalems East Gate will remain sealed. The Bible tells us, that all attempts to open this Gate will fail. In the last century two attempts to open this Gate were made by Moslems. Both attempts failed, just as the Bible predicted. The Gate will only be opened when Jesus Christ returns to this earth to set up His Kingdom. Today, Jerusalems East Gate remains sealed, and remains a glowing example of Biblical truth.
We would show you love, but that is not what you ask for... it is evidence is what you ask for (just in the post you state you don't trust in Bible's origin). So we put the emphasis on the evidence. But sometimes the hardest thing to the believe is the truth. So you know all the prophecies? Well then tell us about the Eastern Gate prophecy and why is it significant. I cannot justify if campbell heard the voice of God, but I can tell you that he knew that my mom was pregnant (w/ me) before she did... and it was a clear clam voice that told him that future. In the same way, the Bible is God's written words and that is how people know future events in detail before they occur. How did those ministers know that Israel would be resrored and there would be a worldwide migration of Jews back to Israel, hundreds of years before it happened? Altough men wrote the Bible, God can only know the future in that detail. God's words always hold true and the deeper you study them, the more you will discover that. If you want to understand why some books of the Bible we left out, you have to understand the cannon. Basically, these books did not make the cut of the cannon--it was a very strict try out: ______________________________________________________________ All Christians realize that if God has revealed Himself by communicating. His will to man, man must be able to know with assurance where that revelation lies. Hence the need for a list (i.e. canon) of books of the Bible. In other words, man needs to know without error (i.e. infallibly) what the books of the Bible are. There must be an authority which will make that decision. The canon of the Bible refers to the definitive list of the books which are considered to be divine revelation and included therein. A canon distinguishes what is revealed and divine from what is not revealed and human. "Canon" (Greek kanon) means a reed; a straight rod or bar; a measuring stick; something serving to determine, rule, or measure. Because God did not explicitly reveal what books are the inspired books of the Bible, title by title, to anyone, we must look to His guidance in discovering the canon of the Bible. _____________________________________________________ In regards to relationships and God, anyone can have a relationship with God without religion (i.e. Going to church, reading religious texts, doing good deeds). Although those things are all good to do, in order to have a relationship with God you must talk and rely on only Jesus as you would rely on friend. In fact, a relationship with Jesus is all He desires. He wants you to rely on Him. In regards to salvation, he does not care how much you go to church, how much you tithe, or helped change a tire for someone. All He will ask when a person stands before Him is: Do I know you? And there person will either answer, "Yes" or "No" That is why prayer is so important because that is how you get to know God. This verse has become one of my favorites: The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you. -Psalms 9:9-10
? Religion does not equal doing good deeds. religion: a personal set or institutionalized system of religious attitudes, beliefs, and practices religious: 1 : relating to or manifesting faithful devotion to an acknowledged ultimate reality or deity <a religious person> <religious attitudes> 2 : of, relating to, or devoted to religious beliefs or observances How can one have a relationship with God without religion (which is that person's beliefs, practices, attitudes, etc. towards God)? Not true. Maybe you can "only rely on Jesus", but for those of us who rely on God, God is the most important one. A relationship with Jesus might be nice, but I have only meet God. I know you confuse Jesus and God, so I will tell you a true story to illustrate your confusion. My girlfriend's mother bought and painted a chest for my friends beautiful little child. Her car was not big enough to transport the chest to our friends house and she also needed me to carry it up the stairs to the childs bedroom, so I ended up driving it over and carrying it up to her bedroom. Francesca (the child) was excited to get the present. I told her that I had brought it to her for Suzanne (my girlfriend's mother), and that it was from Suzanne.* Well, she thought it was from me. She would tell her mother "Matt gave me the chest" even when we told her that it was from Suzanne. Needless to say, she had always been afraid of men (shy around them, including me), until she thought I was the one who gave her the chest. There was a benefit to her confusion over who actually made the chest for her: she trusted me, and is no longer so afraid of (shy around) men. Of course, Suzanne would tease me about "stealing" credit for making the gift, but she was never angry about it. She thought it was funny and cute. * Some Christians do the same thing with Jesus and God, even though Jesus specifically says: "Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works." "`But I have the testimony greater than John's, for the works that the Father gave me, that I might finish them, the works themselves that I do, they testify concerning me, that the Father hath sent me. " That is not true. God wants you to have relationships with many souls and God. Actually, God does care about everything we do. Who told you this? God does not need to ask a person whether God knows them. God doesn't even need to ask the person whether they know God, for God knows what you know- God is the one who teaches us. You are crazy.
Generally it is the woman that knows that she is pregnant first. However, that was not the case with my mom and dad. My dad knew that she was pregnant before she did. That is what is amazing about it. But is that evidence for you... No, you have know way of knowing such event happened. However, evidence of the true God can be found in the Bible and it will be discovered by personal research. It is an amazing book that shows the inspiration of God. And when a person takes the time to unbiasley do the research to unstand the Bible, they soon realise that it is more than a book written by men. It is God's field guide on how to live life right. When interpreted the way God wanted it to be, the message of God has changed the worst of people for the better (liars, cheaters, drug dealers, hookers, and even murderers). "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord WILL BE SAVED." - Romans 10:13.
Yes, we know it is a big consparacy... Come on man, I coach a national volleyball team, I am barely on here (unless I stay up till 3 in the morning)... of course I am going to reply to the post I created especially when people have replied on it.
