the jesus and mary chain

i've been listening to them lately because i just got one of their cds called "stoned and dethroned" some of you 20 somethings might know more about them. i really like this sound

 

Darklands, Psychocandy, and barbed wire kisses are some of my favorite albums ever...If you like their later ones, like the one you have, then you will fall in love with the older ones...they are better.

 

I've never heard it, but it sounds interesting enough. What kind of music is it?

 

their earlier stuff is like the beach boys singing meets velvet underground with more distortion..their newer stuff is more typical 90's alternative pop....

I think Darklands is my favorite, both dark and pretty sounding

It watched the movie 'Lost In Translation' yesterday, their song 'Just Like Honey' is in it. I love the album Psychocandy. Haven't heard their other albums.

barbed wire kisses is one of my all time fav albums. Sidewalking is the greatest
