OK, the reason behind this poll is that I've found I'm a REALLY bad judge of whether people are huggers or not, and this affliction inevitably ends up with that awkward half-hug-when-do-I-finish-are-we-done-yet? You know the one?
I know I'm not a lesbian, but I saw the hug thread and was intrigued, because I absolutely LOVE hugs!!!! It's so nice, especially when the person you're hugging means it. The embrace just makes me feel comfortable on a different level.
I am somewhat in between.... I like to initiate a hug if I know that the other person likes hugs..... however, if I am not sure, I wait for the other person to initiate lol

LJDV, I heartily concur. Hugs are the BEST. Especially if the person you're hugging is a committed hugger. Some people give half-assed hugs, which just suck, generally. Also, the perfect hug involves similar size; I have a friend who gives great hugs, but she's about 6 ft., so I sort of feel like I'm suffocating in her chest when we hug.
I'm one of those hard to read people i think. I will do whatever someone else wants to do. If you wanna hug me, hug me, if you don't, we don't hug. It only gets weird when I'm with someone who doesn't know what to do, I think it depends on the person. I just know so many people who fake hug, you know shoulders barely touch and she's gone on to the next person, fake air kisses etc. Hugs can be good...
i love hugs...there are so many kinds....my favorite are the big bear hugs....at least when it is from someone that you know....if i dont know the person that well, i will still give them a hug (or receive one), just not a big bear hug
I am all for the hugs, man. One of my co-workers gives the most amazing hugs ever, and I constantly ask him to crack my back because he gives a really, really, REALLY good bear-hug. I also love affectionate hugs, sympathetic/empathetic hugs, friendly hugs, I-fucking-haven't-seen-you-in-forever hugs, hello hugs, goodbye hugs, all hugs! Unless the person is really dirty looking or is covered in too many punk spikes, I'll give absolutely anyone a hug. Hugs are awesome. And damn, the word "hug" is starting to sound pretty damn strange about now.
I'm usually one to initiate a hug. I also LOVE receiving hugs. Hugs are awesome. I try to hug at least one person everyday.
i LOVE hugs, i always hug people and even if they are not the hug type of person, i will hug them. with my friends i hug them to say hi, bye, just randomly, or when ever the moment calls for a hug, I'm good. hugging people the same size as you is great, but if the person is taller than me, idk why, but i like it so much more.i find it awkward to hug people who are shorter than me though. im the person that usually puts their arms over so the size issues are sometimes a problem, but the fact that the issues are over a hug makes them all better though!!!
I'm indifferent. I don't love them. I don't hate them. I won't be the one to initiate a hug. I'm not going to deny someone a hug though. Haha.
