When I was writing my book (over a 12 year period) I attempted to visit as many end-points on the hippie trail as I possibly could. I wanted to see what had been left behind in terms of cultural impact, and given the topic of the book itself, drugs. This is how I finally documented my findings: Destinations of Potential Interest: The Hippie Trail. I actually took many hundreds of photographs, but I was obviously limited there. At some point in the future I'll try to do a bulk upload somewhere.
