The thing that has kept me alive and out of jail is the ability to say two simple words and actually act upon them. These two simple words are "fuck it".

the whole point of wealth is pleasure. this makes trading pleasure for wealth, ridiculously pointless. on the other hand, it is worth trading pleasure that is immediate, personal, and most probably short lived, for universal pleasure, or at least the potential of it. this is what makes causing harm, that is easily avoided, a poor and illogical choice. so while gratification remains the 'holy grail', failure to look beyond one's personal event horizon, is therefor, at odds with itself and self defeating. where as, it is quite possible, to so regulate one's own existence, in such a way, as to maximize the universality of opportunity for gratification, and in such a manor, as to allow that universality, to become self sustaining. rather then blindly preventing it, from doing so. thus, so called altruism, really is, not merely generosity, but in one's own ultimate self interest as well. beliefs are invented, for the benefit of those, who are too blind to see this for themselves. where as the gratifications of greed and trying to impress others, are much shorter lived, and simply inferior all the way around. if i have failed to mention excitement, it is only because that is short lived and inferior as well.
