    Great book no matter how you cut. When I was forced to read it for my highschool lit class, I really liked it, but then again thats just me.

    Amazing book... the sequence chapters in b/w the actual plot line did it for me. That chapter about the turtle crossing the road...amazing.

    Steinbeck is simply wonderful. Highlights of The Grapes of Wrath include his ability to recreate the feelings and emotions of the oppressed and his stellar imagery. I'm almost in the mood for a reread now.
