Yeah, pretty much. Erasmus70 is a bit of a jerk sometimes, but normally he's like the debating equivalent of a punchbag.
. Supportive? There are many kind and supportive folks here, (even among the closet cases) Safe? I wouldn't typify Eras as a punch bag, but crank, yeah. He always seems at the ready to recruit any questioning youth, and I don't call that safe. But for the most part folks are onto his shenanigans. Why do you ask? .
I agree with everything above. I know this sounds pretty lame, but before I visited this forum I was thinking about trying to force myself into the closet. A couple of weeks later and I'm seeing guys and feeling generally quite satisified. I owe a lot of that the supportive people here. As people said above, stay away from the ex-gay creeps who hang around here. They are a bit daft but they are still a threat to young people who are insecure about their sexuality.
That thread was very bizarre SC. I don't want to be mean to the guy, but it sounds a lot like trolling. Who spanks their grandmother for sexual satisfaction at the age of 6?
I generally think it's pretty safe. There's no reason why I can't ignore the assholes who try to pretend to be supportive of homosexuals/bisexuals but really just want to shame us.
I've seen some really great support from several of the folks on here.I've gotten some help and input on something I'm going through right now,and many of the guys on here seem sincere.Safe,sure i guess.I'm glad I found this board,I enjoy it.
Russian guys fleeing persecution. It's kind of good to have him around though. If we censored anything that could be construed as homophobic, we wouldn't know what was out there. Whereas having him around... I dunno, maybe it's just me, but it's kind of useful to have someone to hone your debating skills on. I mean, he talks crap, can't argue for shit, but he's persistent, never flounces off in a huff, just keeps coming back for more punishment. That said, he hardly ever answers my posts these days. I'd like to think that meant I'd won, but it's a fairly joyless victory if I did.
