I just talked to my parents, and it sounds the dog is still not doin too well..... the old man is going to take him to the vet on monday, to see what they think they should do... he seems to be suffering quite a bit, he whines still... Im sad.....I dont think I will get to see him again, because probably he wont be alive on easter weekend, when Ill be back at the parents house again
Do you have an ER vet near by? Ryan, you need to get your dog to the vet ASAP. There's a form of contaminated gluten imported from Asia in dog food that has been killing dogs who's owners do not get them to the vet in time.
I dont think its that......... the old man and I talked about that....... he is just old. 17 years old.... and arthritis has been bothering him , but just recently his back legs have been really bothering him so much that he cant walk without falling down, and when he does walk now, he uses the walls to help him walk better
): That's old. I'm sorry sweetie. I had a golden retriever with arthritis like that. It was so hard to take him to the vet and do the right thing.
We need a wiser and perhaps a more mystical concept of animals. remote from the universal nature and living by complicated artifice. man in civilzation surveys the creatures through the glass of his knowledge and sees thereby a feather magnified and the whole image in distortion. We patronize them for their incompleteness, for their tragic fate of having taken form so far below ourselves. and therein we err, for the animal shall not be measured by man. in a world older and more complete than ours they moved finished and complete. gifted with extensions of senses we have lost or never attained, living by voices we shall never hear. they are not brethren, they are not underlings, they are nations, caught with ourselves in the net of life and times, fellow prisoners of the spendour and travail of the earth. Deep man... Anywho, we've just been making our dogs ground turkey and homade doggie treats so they aren't at risk.
