Iv been feeling like that to, feels like soon a mix of war, natural disasters, diseases is soon going to end it. Know a few people that feel the same way.
Be carefull what you wish for. A good saying, not just dogmatic babbling mostly because if you aim high you stand more chance of getting that if you decide its out of your reach. If you wish for your doom you might just get it, if of course you try and solve problems who knows what might happen, you might even smile.
Every end is a new beginning. But what 'end' is everyone imagining? End of the earth? Extremely Doubtful. End of life on earth? Very Doubtful. End of Human existence? Still Doubtful. End of our reliance on oil? End of an era of unbridled industrialism and capitalism? End of cheap energy... perhaps. I don't think it is the end, just the beginning of something new. My advice: learn to farm, learn to mend your own clothes, learn to make candles. We have lost so much knowledge is so little time and that's the only thing that's gonna hurt.

ive been reading the `mayan prophecies´by M cotteral, its a very detailed study on just exactly how much the mayans knew that we dont, they were a race pre occupied by the stars, & the workings of the universe. thier belief is that the 5th age is comming to an end on the 22nd december 2012, befor this there were 4 other ages each destroyed by a different cataclysm, the last one was a flood which may be where to the story of noahs arc originated from. there were also studies done on sun spot cycles which preditc that the earths magnetic polarity reversal coincides with the mayan end date.
The story of Noahs ark most probably came from a flooding of the Euphrates in Samarian times. In this flood a trader with a name similar to Noah (when translated) was washed out to sea aboard his boat and landed in modern day Bahrain, finding his way home (where Baghdad is now) went down in legend. Evidence in ancient Jewish temples has lead historians to believe this may have been elaborated on and put in the bible.
