The Doors!

Man, what is it about these guy's music its so great, its like everytime i listen they suck me into another state of existence, love live light my fire, riders on the storm, lamerica, its all great, they represent freedom and rebellion and fun to me, what do these guys mean to you?

 

Yep, I certainly love the Doors. I grew up listening to them. They're a great band.

 

fucking genius...jims voice and lyrics......ray's organ hits the right notes at the right time (his solo in light my fire is freaking amazing) robby's jazzy/bluesy/rocking guitar is the best with jim's voice, and lets not forget densemore's drumming....

yea i must say, when im walking down the street on a rainy day listening to people are strange/soul kitchen/musics over... i dont need paper to be tripping.

I love them soooo much Jim is a poet his lyrics are so.....I can't even think of the word to describe it!

 

fucking ace.... i discovered them wen i was 14 and they totally blew my mind, before i was even into drugs. jim and ray especially are the greats, jim was definetly more than just a person...

 

Anyone know more about the New Doors with Ian Ashbury (The Cult) on vocals?!

Yeah, they're worth seeing live. Saw them two times, one as Doors of the 21st Century and last year as Riders on the storm. Great shows, Ian Ashbury does an excellent job as their singer!

 

I always put on Riders on the Storm when it rains..also the crystal ship is so sweet..

 

The Doors are my favorite band. Jim is also my favorite poet and male singer.

 

I'd love to see Riders on the Storm. Ian is actually no longer their singer though. Now the old lead singer of Fuel is. That's what I heard.

 

I was just in time then , because I doubt if anyone could replace Jim as good as Ian Astbury did.

 

I was brought up on the doors and although I appreciate thier music towards the end Jim became extreamly pretentious and as lester bangs put it a drunken buffoon

 

Perhaps because he had got into the Andy Warhol NYC jet set....who can tell??!

The Doors are like sex to the ears they are one of my top favorite bands. I've recently been listening to their song Love Street...such a catchy tune! And whenever I listen to The End, I get into this daze that just don't come out of until the end of the song...Jim is a genius!
