"the Trump administration is claiming that the immigration system is in a state of crisis and unable to deal with the increasing influx of asylum seekers. In response, in an attempt at dissuading migrants from coming to the US, it has instead of expediting the asylum process, simply allocated more money to expanding the existing network of draconian detention centers, which Trump recently said were like “Disneyland.” Back in reality, CNN distributed photos this week of the situation at the border camp based in McAllen, Texas, where migrants, including children, have been forced to sleep outside with just metal Mylar blankets.

In the last few weeks, Trump met with the far-Right and anti-Semitic Hungarian PM Viktor Orban, saying that they had some, “similar approaches,” when it came to dealing with migrants. Meanwhile, the Pentagon has recently redirected $2.5 billion in funds towards financing Trump’s border wall since March at a time when disaster survivors in Puerto Rico and Florida are desperately still fighting for assistance. Holding up relief funds is the Trump administration, who is refusing to send more aid to Puerto Rico. To add salt in the wound, Trump at a recent rally in Florida made light of calls from the audience to “shoot” migrants coming into the US.

Moreover, recently the Washington Post also published plans from the Trump administration to carry out “a nationwide militarized sweep to arrest 10,000 immigrants.” As one report wrote.

Trump is taking the classic approach to the Big Lie, simply calling everything he wants to attack a "crisis". A travesty of justice, whatever bullshit he wants to call it, because all he needs are the buzz words. You might as well complain that people lie on reality TV and exaggerate everything. If Trump did not lie and exaggerate, he could never have been elected.

To be fair, all politicians do that. Obama was a pro at talking bullshit. "Hope"

They have no fucking choice, thanks to Americans voting for whoever advertises the most, and the Supremes deciding corporations can spend as much as they want on political campaigns. Our glorious leader didn't brazenly cut the mass media a deal on their rent because he was concerned about how it might look.

Trump's tour through Europe has been a complete embarrassment.

I mean how could anyone be that ignorant. He often states the obvious and then follows it up with a comment you’d expect from a child or an adult who’s mentally challenged.

He met with the Irish PM at the VIP lounge of the airport because the Irish government refused to meet Trump at his golf course which he was trying to promote because it’s a financial disaster.

Then he tells the Irish PM he should build a border wall……IN IRELAND...an island, Duh!

I hate to do this, defend trump, but he was talking about the border between Ireland, and Northern Ireland.
Personally, I would like to see Ireland, and Ulster under the Irish flag.

Trump's statement was still ignorant. Open borders in Ireland, a result of EU policy, is symbolic of the end of the "troubles" (religion based terrorist violence) achieved in the 1990s. A hard Brexit would threaten that and lead to other complications, if the UK tightens its border policy, which is the point. Building a wall is not likely to help.

Hope, of course, was a centerpiece of the hippies in the late 60s. In fact President Obama was and is a person of intelligence and integrity, something certainly lacking in Trump world. The birthers and their poison were symptom of the hate festering in the US for far too long. All Trump knows how to do is try to undo all of the positive social and environmental progress of President Obama’s administration.

Trump initially said that the extra tariffs that he plans to impose on Mexico were to force it to stop migrants from trying to enter the U.S. Now he says it's about forcing Mexico to buy more U.S. agricultural products.

Lack of U.S. sales of agricultural products to Mexico stems from Trump's steel and aluminum tariffs on Mexico and the retaliatory tariffs it caused. Now Trump is trying to use more tariffs to undo the damage he did with his initial tariffs.

Trump might want to consider that there's a good chance Mexico will buy more U.S. agricultural products if he rescinds his steel and aluminum tariffs.

Trump let a millionaire from Iraq stay at his DC hotel for 26 nights. The guy is sort of like a Chalabi type who wants to do business with the CIA like Haftar of Libya. The new Iraq Trump fab has been meeting with John Bolton and has indicated a wish to become Iraq's new CIA backed dictator and to hell with Iraq's democratically elected government. Also, this new scumbag wants to let Bolton have his war against Iran and will let Bolton use Iraq as a launch point for the ground war. I heard Iraq is going to arrest him the moment he gets off the aero-plane.

He could use it at his scheduled 4th of July campaign speech at the Lincoln Memorial.

It's expected to be the same type of hapless, embarrassing speech he gave to the Boy Scouts of America, to the CIA in front of the wall of fallen CIA agents, and his childish, nasty rhetoric during his state visit to the U.K. during the 75th anniversary of D-Day.

Trump Sets Off Fireworks of a Different Sort With Fourth of July Speech Plan

    excerpt:

"By February, however, he came up with another way — essentially taking over the annual Fourth of July event in Washington. In a message posted on Twitter, he announced a “Salute to America” on Independence Day, featuring a “major fireworks display, entertainment and an address by your favorite President, me!”"

I heard a psychologist today describe Donald as often in a psychological 'child' state and so throwing tantrums on social media is the norm - I liked his description of donald 'hiding behind his fingers' at the white house staff and knowing that they are sniggering at him!! - don't you see it in toddlers all the time?
