We get all ballots mailed to us in Oregon. We fill them out at home and mail them back-----isn't that a fairly simple solution to the hacking problem if all states would do this?
I didn't know anyone thought the Russians started fires in California. The real news media never said anything about a nothing burger. The DNC didn't cheat Bernie...he voted for Clinton. Paper ballots aren't used in all states because yesterday the Republicans nixed the funding to allow it.
Turns out the Secretary of Education, Betsy DeVoss, was one of the main sources of funding for the attack on teacher's unions. The Mackinac Center for Public Policy is a leading proponent of union smashing and school vouchers. She's also connected to family separations at the border, anti abortion, the same sex wedding cake, and the nomination of Trump's stooge to the Supreme Court.
Good old Betsy is also attacking the independent college accrediting agencies. She wants to cut agency regulations to allow more schools to be accredited. Guess why? She also wants to allow ....And eliminate the credit hour. That would seem to allow any amount of instruction to be enough with no lower limit. One hour for completion of a college class...good enough. And there's more; no requirement for distance learning students to have any teacher interaction, turning them into correspondence courses, and of course, a proposal to allow federal money to be used by any religious organization. (Remember that old thing called separation of church and state?)
The sad last act of Rudy Giuliani Matt Bai, National Political Columnist Yahoo News August 2, 2018 The sad last act of Rudy Giuliani "Apparently, though, Rudy was unfazed. Because when Trump found himself in real trouble earlier this year, Giuliani offered himself up for the arena yet again, this time as the president’s counsel and mouthpiece. This is what it’s come to: the sad last act of a once serious man. The final, cringey chapter of the eventual biography, as painful to read as it will be to write. You’ve seen the calamitous routine, I’m sure. Rudy proclaiming that Trump directed a payment to a porn star to shut her up, and that Trump fired FBI Director James Comey because of Russia, then having to walk back both. Rudy characterizing Michael Cohen, the president’s chief confidant for many years, as a lifelong liar — a few months after describing him as an “honest, honorable lawyer.”"
Good observation MeAgain...I once knew a car dealership manager who used to brag he kept his salemen "Hungry so they would work harder" sort of like Betsy wanting people to not make enough money to pay back student loans. The Billionaires have several ways of keeping the poor in poverty so they could be exploited. Bob Marley used to have a song which said "I have no friends in High Society" because he was from Trench Town!
If the people voted for Clinton, they got what they voted for although with a different candidate. If they did not vote for Bernie, they voted against single-payer health coverage, decriminalization of cannabis sativa and would rather have the values of a Goldwater Girl. Donna Brazile pointed out some misdeeds although she is convinced that unethical is okay so long as it is legal even if it might be. The DNC did not regard Bernie even though he had more votes. By losing out on Clinton, they may have delayed TPP, which is even worse than the new tariffs. If they really didn't vote for Bernie in the primaries, they cheated themselves out of a decent candidate, not by the Russians who can hack an election but can't even feed themselves. When you run the most beatable candidates against the worst candidates, you might not like the outcome. The Bush and Clinton families are friendly but this does not seem to bother anyone regarding policies. You bought your ticket - live with it.
No, we didn't get anything like what we voted for. We got a pussy grabbing, Putin lovin', emoluments taking grifter who put kids in cages separated from their parents, calls the free press enemies of the people, calls our European allies "foes", openly sided with the head of a hostile foreign power against our own intelligence agencies, and seems about to be embarking on a ruinous trade war with China--and Canada. We'll know the apocalypse is near when a septuagenarian Jewish Socialist from Brooklyn wins the presidency. Bernie isn't complaining; why should you? Your argument is frankly ludicrous."You bought your ticket - live with it?" As was pointed out, Clinton won the primary. Whatever folks at the DNC may have done or wanted, Clinton vs. Trump was the binary choice. Any Bernie supporters who sat the election out because of hurt feelings can thank only themselves for the outcome. And your statement that the Russians "can hack an election but can't even feed themselves" is a non sequitor. There's really no necessary relationship between being able to hack and election and being able to feed a population. North Korea is even less adept at feeding its population, but it can build nuclear warheads and missiles capable of carrying them to the United States.
Bernie got his lakefront home for his troubles. He wouldn't complain. It was possibly a shock he did so well when they managed to get rid of the other Democrats like Senator Webb and Bernie became the candidate. The same intelligence agencies that told everyone that there were weapons of mass distraction in Iraq? Bernie didn't put kids in cages and neither should we. Everybody is upset about that and no excuse is given for this continued human rights violation. Speaking of putting kids in cages, Hillary was about 'Three Strikes and You're Out', which is good business to help cheap labor for businesses within the Prison Industrial Complex. The mass trade war with China is a very bad thing and not going to help anyone. Canada is a nice place with nice people we can depend upon and it is sheer folly to start a trade war with them, too. It's almost as bad as TPP which we hope never happens even though Her Highness wanted it. The end may not come for millions of years, when the sun burns up. Even so, septuagenarians from Brooklyn are not okay but somehow septuagenarians from Chicago or Little Rock are considered by some to be safer.
So your contention is that Sanders is quite pleased with the outcome as he purchased a new home and you seem to be insinuating he got the money by running for president. You are aware the home was purchased with money from the sell of a home his wife had inherited that had been in her family since 1900? Both Hillary and Bill Clinton admitted the crime bill was flawed It's refreshing to hear leaders who admit mistakes and take responsibility for them. Not like our current presidential idiot. The failure of TPP has opened the Asian market for China and India and left us out in the cold. It shows we can't enter into agreements that have been reached with other countries, it allows others to negotiate deals that leave the U.S. out, it puts China at the forefront of any deal, and it further divides the world's countries into competing rivals. In stead of dropping it, it should have been fixed.
Trump's top security officials warn of Russian interference in coming elections. The heads of the FBI, the National Security Agency, the Department of Homeland Security, and the National Security Council held a briefing in the White House. That would be Christopher Wray, Dan Coats, Kirstjen Nielsen, Paul Nakasone, and John Bolton. The next day Trump called the Russian interference a hoax:
Russian pop star Emin mocks Trump in a new video. Emin Agalarov was instrumental in setting up the infamous Trump Tower/Russia meeting. Here's the transcribed lyrics: “I don’t want to wake up Not knowing where you sleep tonight The things that you told me Made it so hard to read your mind Wish that you at least could be honest I wish that you told me the truth But you keep complaining and every time you go you got me so good, you really got me so blue you got me thinking ‘bout you and I do. You really got me you really got me you really got me good. You always keep changing Every conversation makes a war but I just can’t help it When you keep calling out for more Wish you at least said let’s break up I wish you could say how you feel But you keep on playin’ and every time that you go. You got me so good you really got me so blue you got me thinking ‘bout you and I do You really got me you really got me you really got me good You really got me good. You got me So good You really got me So Blue You got me thinking about you And I do You really got me You really got me You really got me good You really got me good You really got me You really got me You really got me good”
Maybe Bernie got the lake front house another way. He did raise $27 million dollars from people who tried to get him elected. Where did that money go? Did it get turned into the Clinton election fund? His own brother voted for him in the primaries, but Sanders did not even stand up for himself. If it had been a fair count, Bernie would have won the primaries and the election. Good old Hillary, who destroyed a relatively stable Libya, because the leader wanted to adopt a Pan-African currency not dependent on the US dollar. She laughed about the death of Gaddafi saying 'We came, we saw, he died'. Now, very bad people have moved in there. At least under Gaddafi this would not have been tolerated. Extremists were not welcome and the place has been destabilized. It's refreshing to hear leaders who admit mistakes and take responsibility for them. - Quote It's great that a leader can or will admit to having made a mistake although it is too little, too late for most of the people who lost their freedom, job, house or something else because of those mistakes. As for Republicans, It is physically impossible for a Republican to admit a wrong. Between the two Clintons, we got welfare reform. Rush Limbaugh and his mindless audience hate the idea of 'those people' getting food stamps and housing. However, they do love no-bid contracts given to weapons manufacturers or for Halliburton to do what the military can do for itself a lot cheaper. The Telecommunications Act gave us Rupert Murdoch. Then there's the Glass-Steagall repeal, Hillary voted for the War in Iraq, voted for the Patridiot Act, Clinton campaigned against NAFTA in '92 and then had Al Gore go on Larry King to laugh at Ross Perot who correctly stated that NAFTA would result in a 'giant sucking sound' going into Mexico. Millions out of work thanks to NAFTA, including Mexican corn farmers who can't compete with US subsidies for inferior corn flooding the Mexican market, people have served long sentences or maybe still sitting in jail for minor offenses, long lines and unreasonable Soviet-style searches for the privilege of flying. The lower crime rate was largely due to the improved economy and high employment under Bill Clinton. There were lots of jobs until the effects of NAFTA starting kicking in. Conversely, in 2002, the crime rate was rising due to bad economy. Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright saying on TV that 500,000 dead children in Iraq due to a US/UN embargo. She said: "A hard choice, but the price, we think the price is worth it." Albright went on to say later that there is a special place in hell for women who don't support Hillary during that campaign. Haiti? So much money given for Haitians who received so very little.
They have two of them: FOX and Breitbart. Isn't it curious that Limey persists in denying the Russian interference that was confirmed by Trump's top national security experts just yesterday. And the lame explanation was that Russia is too poor to feed its own people so it couldn't possibly pull off such a thing. It annexed Crimea but couldn't engineer a cyberattack. The basic fallacy of Post 9477 is "Whataboutism":"a variant of the tu quoque logical fallacy that attempts to discredit an opponent's position by charging them with hypocrisy without directly refuting or disproving their argument, which is particularly associated with Soviet and Russian propaganda. When criticisms were leveled at the Soviet Union during the Cold War, the Soviet response would often be 'What about...' followed by an event in the Western world " Whataboutism - Wikipedia In this case, whatabout Bernie and the Clintons? (This is not to suggest that Keylime is a Russian troll; only that the style of argumentation seems equally fallacious). And those "long lines and unreasonable Soviet-style searches for the privilege of flying." They're called security checks and they were put in place to stop rampant skyjacking, and they did. I guess we need to be liberated from those so that ISIS can take over some planes or blow them up! (You should be relieved that Trump's TSA is considering eliminating screening at some airports to save money.) Security Lines Could Get Much Shorter at Some Airports Hillary "destroyed a relatively stable Libya, because the leader wanted to adopt a Pan-African currency not dependent on the US dollar"? Prove it. The Gowdy Committee couldn't, after how many years of investigation. I'm surprised you didn't bring up her murder of Vince Foster. Same goes with your insinuation that Bernie committed campaign violations by diverting money raised for his campaign for personal use. That one, I believe, originated with the right wing fake news outlet, the Washington Free Beacon. If there were any substance to such a charge, don't you think a Republican administration would be all over it. Were is the investigation? Where is the indictment? So whatabout Trump?
