The Trump administration has cut out parts of a press conference that took place after Trump and Putin met in private. Questions directed to Putin and his answer were cut out, presumably to give the American people a false picture. Putin was asked if he had wanted Trump to win and if he had directed his agents to help Trump win. Putin answered yes to both questions. The Trump coverup machine went to work to deceive the American people as usual. Another reporter attempted to ask Trump question and was escorted out because Trump did not want to answer her. Trump did complain about his former attorney Cohen by asking, "What kind of lawyer records his own client?" Someone replied, "I though you only hired the best?"

So I went off the grid on Tuesday and just got back on........It'll take me days to get up to speed on all this garbage.

If it’s open warfare Cohen just tossed a grenade into the trump camp Latest count: Cohen 2 Trump 0 Cohen claims Trump knew in advance of 2016 Trump Tower meeting Michael Cohen, President Donald Trump's former personal attorney, claims that then-candidate Trump knew in advance about the June 2016 meeting in Trump Tower in which Russians were expected to offer his campaign dirt on Hillary Clinton, sources with knowledge tell CNN. Cohen is willing to make that assertion to special counsel Robert Mueller, the sources said. Cohen's claim would contradict repeated denials by Trump, Donald Trump Jr., their lawyers and other administration officials who have said that the President knew nothing about the Trump Tower meeting until he was approached about it by The New York Times in July 2017. Cohen alleges that he was present, along with several others, when Trump was informed of the Russians' offer by Trump Jr. By Cohen's account, Trump approved going ahead with the meeting with the Russians, according to sources.
Russians attacked Democrat Claire McCaskill and two others. A phishing attempt was launched against her last year by Russia’s GRU intelligence agency. McCaskill has been a strong critic of Putin. The attack occurred as Trump visited her district and told a crowd to vote her out of office. This is the first attempt to influence the 2018 elections.
After getting pressure from government officials, members of congress, and news reporters, Trump cancelled his invite to Putin to come to the White House. One day after that, RT.COM the Russian news agency issued an article indicating Putin has invited Trump to Moscow, presumably so they could meet in secret again. Putin must have some new instructions for the useful guy from America.
Well, at least he had the decency to let his son do the dirty work in order to protect himself. Admirable!
Trump is known for his mafia style approach of having other people do his dirty work. Federal and state RICO laws were enacted to close loopholes enjoyed by people who use the tactics of Trump. A RICO suit was filed against Trump regarding Trump University. Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act - Wikipedia excerpt: "Art Cohen vs. Donald J. Trump Art Cohen vs. Donald J. Trump was a civil RICO[37] class action suit filed October 18, 2013,[38] accusing Donald Trump of misrepresenting Trump University "to make tens of millions of dollars" but delivering "neither Donald Trump nor a university".[37] The case was being heard in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California in San Diego, No. 3:2013cv02519,[39] by Judge Gonzalo P. Curiel.[38] It was scheduled for argument beginning November 28, 2016.[40] However, on November 18 and shortly after Trump won the presidential election, this case and two others were settled for a total of $25 million and without any admission of wrongdoing by Trump.[41][42"
Unfortunately, all this alarming dirt we talk about, so significant to those who are engaged with reality and our long-term future, are things to which Joe Public is oblivious. Now the trade wars could be significant, but Trump seems to be aware of that and has taken desperate stopgap measures to patch things up by the trade truce with Europe and by subsidizing impacted farm groups. That won't work in the long run, but he's a short run kind of guy. The important news of the day to his base is that second quarter GDP is above 4%--very tentative and subject to multiple revisions. The stock market seems unimpressed. All the major averages are down.
Economy is at its strongest since 2014. That one thing will erase Cohen's bombshell with his supporters. He wasn't kidding. He really could shoot someone on 5th ave and not lose support.
I'm sure they also won't pay attention to the details that: (1) these quarterly figures are subject to frequent revision, (2) a significant part of them are the result of international buyers purchasing soy and other products ahead of expected retalliatory tariffs, and (3) if the GDP grows too quickly it might trigger Fed intervention to raise interest rates, as happened in the Clinton administration when the GDP rose 6%.
