    The latest: Golf Diplomacy

Trump in his narcissistic fashion loves to throw wrenches in the gearbox to make the world revolve around him.

Australia is enlisting the services of Australian professional golfer Greg Norman who is a friend of Trump to try to negotiate a U.S. tariff exemption.

In related matters, the U.S. Commerce Department placed a tariff on biodiesel from Argentina as high as 70% which has damaged its soybean market.

Brazil is a major exporter of steel to the U.S. and also a major importer of coal from the U.S. Brazil could place a reciprocal tariff on U.S. coal.

House investigation of Russian tampering in U.S. elections shut down without warning by Nunes.
Without consulting any Democratic members of the committee the panel was terminated and statements issued.
Republican member Mike Conaway told reporters:
They found no collusion and then disputed every intelligence service in the U.S. by stating that Russia had no preference for Trump in the election.

Republican House intelligence member Tom Rooney investigating the Russian interference declares the committee has "lost all credibility."
    Asked if,
No one has ever produced any Russian information that helped Clinton or was aimed at helping Clinton.

    Russia supports Nunes' findings.
The Russian embassy in Washington retweeted Conaway's comments:

Trump's White House fails to support the UK in suspected Russian poisoning of by Sergei Skripal and his daughter by the Russian poison Novichok.
PR person Sarah Sanders refused to name Russia as the suspected agent in the attack.
Meanwhile Rex Tillerson puts the blame on Russia.

And now--wait for it--the Chaos President has fired Secretary of State Tillerson--via Twitter, without advance notice to Tillerson! Could it be because Tillerson was too strong about the Russian Nerve gas in Britain, of which Trump has had little to say? Or is this just a distraction from Stormy Daniels? The Reality Show continues. Will his base give a rats ass? Will the American people be concerned?

Gina Haspel has a storyed past, wanted for torture.
Haspel ran a torture site in Thailand in 2002 were waterboarding was common and one person lost an eye from having his head repeatedly slammed into a wall.

Tillerson, Mattis, Mnuchin forge 'suicide pact' in the event Trump wants one of them gone: Report

"Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, Defense Secretary Jim Mattis, and Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin reportedly have forged a "suicide pact" in which all three members of President Trump's Cabinet would leave if one of them becomes a target of the president.

News of the agreement surfaced amid renewed questions about Tillerson's future in the administration.

The secretary of state has frequently clashed with Trump, and NBC News reported Wednesday that Tillerson threatened to resign in July after the president's controversial speech to the Boy Scouts."

Russian spy chiefs met in Washington with CIA director to discuss counterterrorism
    by Shane Harris

Russian spy chiefs met in Washington with CIA director to discuss counterterrorism

"Two top Russian spy chiefs traveled to Washington last week to discuss counterterrorism issues with CIA Director Mike Pompeo, but the unusual visit also raised concerns among some U.S. officials that Moscow could interpret the encounter as a sign the Trump administration is willing to move beyond the issue of election interference, current and former U.S. intelligence officials said.

Pompeo met with Sergey Naryshkin, the head of Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service or SVR, and Alexander Bortnikov, who runs the FSB, which is the main successor to the Soviet-era security service the KGB.

The head of Russia’s military intelligence, the GRU, also came to Washington, though it is not clear he met with Pompeo.

CIA Director Mike Pompeo met with Russian intelligence officials in Washington in January. Current and former U.S. intelligence officials said they could not recall so many heads of Russia’s espionage and security apparatus coming to Washington at once and meeting with a top American official."

Someone will claim that the big meeting of Russian spy chiefs in DC was to talk about the adoption of Russian children.
