They're Republicans. They don't need evidence. I know one of these. She's a psychiatrist ( ! ) who is otherwise very intelligent, but a Catholic whose #1 political issue is abortion. She saw some kind of documentary showing people burning boxes of ballots labelled TRUMP. I'd say this lady was born yesterday when it comes to fake news. Far be it from me to psychoanalyze a psychiatrist, but from a lay point of view it seems to me she might be suffering from some variation of confirmation bias.
This attempted fascist/republican --takeover/ruination of US democracy was a close one! The lies which are still being repeated day after day--hour by hour--minute by minute, have been instrumental in convincing 40 % of the American population that truth no longer matters, that the repetition of wild falsehoods will convince said population, as happened in Germany, Italy and other nations since---that dangerous charlatans are somehow god-like. Or should I say EXPOSING the 40% for how gullible and willing to allow themselves to be led into the dominion of the mentally ill orange yam and those bought and paid for enablers, who have proved their extreme cowardice to this very day? Yes, this has been a prime example of some of the weaknesses in our government structures. Here's what will happen if the coming runoffs in Georgia are not won by the two democrats---McConnell and the republicans will freeze the government up as they did when Obama was president , only they will be worse than back then. They've proved their cowardice and their willingness to stop any and all consideration for the environment, any consideration for the rule of law, any consideration for the middle/ lower classes that have been and are still hurting badly. The millionaire/billionaire class has been taken care of ( as usual) and in fact have INCREASED their wealth even throughout this covid virus period. And there is a very dangerous two months left in the destructive reign of the Yam! He is and will continue to, wreak havoc on anything and anyone he possibly can. How the republican party, after backing this phony grifter that sits in the white house and has not even pretended to be presidential, can ever recover from this run of ridiculous, pseudo government is beyond me. But--of course they'll be fine. They have the HUGE money backers, they will insure that any laws enacted will benefit themselves and damn the struggling mass of Americans that would---excuse me for being so presumptuous here--LIKE A FUCKIN' LIVING WAGE,PLEASE!! So, we'll see what we have left January 21st and what there is to fix. Let's hope our government will be fixable and will begin to work for ALL CITIZENS---and knock off the bullshit that the purveyors of such continue to spread.
This is right out of the Bannon playbook--Alt right postmodernism: alternative facts, alternate reality. Must destroy the country to save it. "Winning is the only thing that matters.
Saddam Hussein and Fidel Castro used the same method to stoke a fire under their population's rear end. Dictators have always done that and told their people that their country was being attacked if they wanted unlimited power. A national crisis has always worked as a springboard to dictatorship.
Correct, Bannon wanted to create chaos which would lead to anarchy. Trump would then save the country. Problem is he picked the wrong guy.
Yes, the core fundamentals of such a plan would require an advanced ass-hole who could read and write.

With Fox News promoting Trump’s lies as truth, the president controls one of the most powerful propaganda machines ever created. 6. Trump believes that he has the power to do what he wants, regardless of Congress or the courts. “I have an Article II, where I have the right to do whatever I want as president,” he has said. 7. Trump acts as if he owns our government and can fire any official who defends the law. 8. Trump uses federal prosecutorial powers to investigate his opponents and anyone who dares scrutinize him or his allies for the many crimes they may have committed. After the 9. Trump viciously attacks his critics and has publicly implied that the Ukraine whistleblower should be hanged for treason. 10. Trump has messianic delusions that are supported with religious fervor by millions of his supporters. He has “jokingly” looked up to the sky and said, “I am the chosen one” in relation to negotiations with China. 11. Trump subscribes to a doctrine of genetic superiority and incites racial hatred to scapegoat immigrants and gain power. He has rallied his base with dog-whistle attacks, calling Mexicans rapists and criminals. 12. Trump finds common ground with the world’s most ruthless dictators while denigrating America’s democratic allies.

Trump could mount a last-ditch effort of trying to convince 37 or more electors for Biden to defect and vote for him instead, a nearly impossible task. In 2016 Trump ended up with 304 electoral votes instead of 306 due to two faithless electors who voted for Ron Paul and John Kasich instead of Trump. Faithless electors in the 2016 United States presidential election From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Faithless electors in the 2016 United States presidential election - Wikipedia excerpt: "The faithless electors who opposed Donald Trump were part of a movement dubbed the Hamilton Electors co-founded by Micheal Baca of Colorado and Bret Chiafalo of Washington. The movement attempted to find 37 Republican electors willing to vote for a different Republican in an effort to deny Donald Trump a majority in the Electoral College and force a contingent election in the House of Representatives. The electors advocated for voting their conscience to prevent the election of someone they viewed as unfit for the presidency as prescribed by Alexander Hamilton in No. 68 of The Federalist Papers."
