October 2019: "Chuck Schumer, the most senior Democrat in the Senate, has urged the government to investigate TikTok, describing the China-owned social media app as “a potential counter-intelligence threat we cannot ignore” and warning it could be used to interfere in US elections" TikTok app poses potential national security risk, says senior Democrat

It's amazing how people believe what they want to believe "It's probably why Ohio has been able to maintain some control over the virus" Oh, they have have they? And chiefly because of a mask order? If Ohio was its own country, where do you think they'd rank with the rest of the world with 310 deaths per million population? In between Equador and Bolivia if you want to know 19th worst out of 199 countries
I'm fine with that. They get to think they are upsetting people which is very important to them but they are really doing exactly what Dr. Fauci and others want them to. It does not matter what the mask says it matters that it's the proper material to protect people. I guess the right wing figured out that Walmart is the only store with 90% of the things they need in many rural communities.
People who are Spanish speaking and from the Philippines are very different in culture and traditions from someone who is an immigrant from Guatemala. I don't see any problem with what Biden said. The same could be applied to people from Morocco and Lebanon, both Arabic speakers but different in culture.
Trump and his supporters in the GOP states mistakenly thought they were relatively immune from the coronavirus. Trump is currently paying a steep political cost. Gov. DeSantis of Florida has taken a large hit in his approval polls after coronavirus hotspots appeared in his state. He was so cocksure in the spring that his state wouldn't be hit and accused the media of being alarmist when it warned him of a potential rampant spread of the virus as a result of his lax attitude toward it. The ultimate embarrassment for both Trump and DeSantis is the cancellation of the RNC convention in FL where Trump moved it after his fight with the Democratic governor in NC who knew better and where the event was originally located. I'd have to agree on this. Spanish speakers around the globe are quite different from each other, as are the English from the Americans and the Aussies - each have their differences among their commonalities. The point being, we are all one, not divided.
In Trump's mind, he will need to concoct more retaliations against Brazil which is doing great business during Trump's trade war. Thanks for the link that tells us proportion of Covid deaths in US states won by Hillary was at 60.4% vs Trump 39.6%....back on June 30th anyway I noticed you didn't copy that graph ....bee....cause....cases are more important than deaths apparently
Additional trouble for Trump. Talks in Congress have stalled. The $600 per week unemployment payments are significant. They already expired and it will take about 4 to 5 weeks to restart them after a bill is passed by Congress to reinstate them, which isn't certain. Trump to take executive action after coronavirus talks collapse
You still had 500 Covid deaths in NY in the last 28 days btw 125 a week in a population of 19.4 million Which is still at a rate of 335 deaths per million people per year, and that's at the height of summer Extrapolate that same rate across the whole US population of 330 million and it would still mean 110,000 deaths a year Everyone kind of thinks it's over because you are not hearing crazy figures like 2500 deaths a day from NY, but it's still killing people at 4 times the rate influenza does, and again that rate in NY over the last 4 weeks is at the height of summer Or to put it another way, the death rate in NY over the last 4 weeks is still double the global average over the last 201 days
Defamation lawsuit against Trump will proceed. Trump can't stop defamation lawsuit by E. Jean Carroll, who accused him of rape, judge says
Coronavirus in the U.S.: Latest Map and Case Count excerpt: "What you can do Experts’ understanding of how the Covid-19 works is growing. It seems that there are four factors that most likely play a role: how close you get to an infected person; how long you are near that person; whether that person expels viral droplets on or near you; and how much you touch your face afterwards. Here is a guide to the symptoms of Covid-19. You can help reduce your risk and do your part to protect others by following some basic steps: Keep your distance from others. Stay at least six feet away from people outside your household as much as possible. Wear a mask outside your home. A mask protects others from your germs, and it protects you from infection as well. The more people who wear masks, the more we all stay safer. Wash your hands often. Anytime you come in contact with a surface outside your home, scrub with soap for at least 20 seconds, rinse and then dry your hands with a clean towel. Avoid touching your face. The virus can spread when our hands come into contact with the virus, and we touch our nose, mouth or eyes. Try to keep your hands away from your face unless you have just recently washed them."
Trump picks MacGregor for U.S. ambassador to Germany who has been a frequent guest on Fox News. Trump has been frustrated lately that Germany wouldn't permit Russia back into the current G7. Russia's membership in what was the G8 was suspended after Putin annexed Crimea. Trump said in an interview he didn't think Putin would invade Crimea, which he already had a couple years earlier. He tried to cover that blunder by saying he didn't think Putin would invade Crimea AGAIN. Jewish advocacy groups slam Trump's pick for German ambassador for bigoted comments - CNNPolitics
