Trump thinks that a wealthy person in Ukraine has a server with Hillary's deleted emails that show nefarious behavior. It's representative of the lack of appeal to objective facts and the general delusional thinking of Trump that contributed to the coronavirus mess.
The same type of response is anticipated from Trump if he ever contracts the coronavirus. Sick With Covid, Brazil’s Bolsonaro Defends His Virus Approach He called pandemic a “little flu” and rejected medical advice President’s supporters quickly coalescing around his claims By Andrew Rosati , Samy Adghirni , and Simone Preissler Iglesias July 7, 2020, 9:35 PM EDT Sick With Covid, Brazil’s Bolsonaro Defends His Virus Approach excerpt: "Now infected with the virus he has shrugged off as a “little flu,” President Jair Bolsonaro is insisting that his approach to the coronavirus, a pandemic that has killed tens of thousands of fellow Brazilians, was correct all along. After months of clashing with doctors, governors and mayors who clamored for strict quarantine measures, Bolsonaro announced Tuesday on live television he had tested positive for Covid-19. He told reporters through a mask that he felt “perfectly well,” after taking two doses of hydroxychloroquine, an unproven anti-malarial he has touted as a successful remedy."

As a candidate, Trump said Confederate flag should be ‘put in a museum’ By ArLuther Lee, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution July 7, 2020 As a candidate, Trump said Confederate flag should be ‘put in a museum’ excerpt: "Nearly a year and a half before his election, then-candidate Trump called for the removal of the flag, widely seen as a potent symbol of American white supremacy, from the South Carolina statehouse a week after nine parishioners were shot to death in a racially motivated attack at Charleston’s Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church. The massacre happened on June 17, 2015, the day after Trump officially launched his 2016 campaign. Nearly a week after the killings, reporters caught up with the candidate and asked where he stood on the battle flag as he made an appearance at his new golf course in the Washington, D.C., suburbs. “I think they should put it in the museum and let it go,” Trump said on camera June 23. “Respect whatever it is you have to respect, because it was a point in time, and put it in a museum. But I would take it down. Yes.”"
That was Trump in 2015. The wind vane Trump has changed direction again. Trump turns clock back 155 years with Confederacy-inspired election strategy Analysis by Stephen Collinson, CNN Updated 10:35 AM ET, Tue July 7, 2020 Trump turns clock back 155 years with Confederacy-inspired election strategy - CNNPolitics excerpt: "By condemning efforts to pull down the Confederate flag, by portraying a nation locked in a dark feudal struggle against rampant crime, unrest and "far left fascism," Trump is not just running the most demagogic, polarizing and race-baiting campaign in modern American history. He is betting that the uncanny political insight that powered his 2016 campaign will triumph again over an industry of political consultants, antsy Republican lawmakers and media pundits who see his crushed approval ratings and polls showing him trailing in battleground states as the throes of a doomed campaign. If that damages the fabric of America, so be it."

United Airlines says it may lay off as many as 36,000 U.S. employees because of, as Trump calls it, the embers and ashes coronavirus. SCOTUS is going to announce its ruling on Trump's tax returns tomorrow! I don't see how they could rule in his favor, which means... party! WHOO-HOO!!!
Countries that thought they were safe, like Australia, aren't safe from the coronavirus. Panic-buying returns as Melbourne braces for lengthy lockdown Tania Lee July 8, 2020, 2:42 AM EDT Panic-buying returns as Melbourne braces for lengthy lockdown excerpt: "Shoppers in Australia's second-biggest city stripped supermarket shelves Wednesday as millions in Melbourne prepared for a return to virus lockdown, with warnings the new restrictions could prompt a mental health crisis. Trump has lost in six different courts in his desire to not release his tax returns. The stakes of Trump's tax return case couldn't be higher Opinion by Elie Honig Updated 8:35 PM ET, Mon May 11, 2020 The stakes of Trump's tax return case couldn't be higher (opinion) - CNN excerpt: "The Supreme Court will actually hear three separate cases that it has consolidated for argument (using its new remote live-feed). In two of those cases, Democratic-controlled House committees subpoenaed Trump's private banks for his financial records, including tax returns. And, in the third case, the New York County (Manhattan) District Attorney served a grand jury subpoena on one of Trump's financial firms, as part of a criminal investigation into hush-money payments to two women with whom Trump allegedly had affairs (Trump denies the affairs). Though not a party to the subpoenas, Trump nonetheless jumped in and tried to block them. Legally, this shouldn't be particularly close or difficult. Exhibit A: In total, six different federal courts -- three district courts and three courts of appeals panels -- have heard these cases, and all six have ruled against Trump. It's no fluke that Trump has a batting average of exactly .000 thus far in trying to block disclosure of his tax returns, and it would take a stunning reversal by the Supreme Court -- essentially deciding that all six lower courts got it wrong -- to save Trump's cause now."
Mazars, the firm that has Trump's tax records, said it would comply with court decisions. Trump would have little recourse remaining if the Supreme Court rules against him. He could personally issue insults and threats to his tax firm or try to bribe it, which is the type of behavior that caused some of the lawsuits in the first place (secret hush money payments to a porn star to force her to comply).
If the tax firm doesn't release the records, they would be in violation of the SCOTUS. I think they are more likely to comply with the court than trump. I suppose trump could sue them after he is out of office.
Trump's unfavorable rating has slipped back to being about 16% higher than his favorable rating as his downward skid continues. RealClearPolitics - Election Other - Trump: Favorable/Unfavorable
This Tucker Carlson is the lowest of the low trump suck-asses, disparaging Tammy Duckworth. There is no low to which they will not go. There can not be anyone in here that would/will STILL follow this sick son of a bitch trump after this reveal by his niece. ( oh, but Joel--there will be!) Many of us have known this about trump for a few years, even though not being trained psychologists----so ,the excuse of stupidity is out the window. It becomes evident that those that pine for a sniff of his fat ass are JUST LIKE HIM. I hope when the dems are back in charge that they will make the Fairness Doctrine a major issue----that will cut Faux news and their sick bullshit off at the knees.
Yes. It would have to be reformulated as perhaps-The Right of Reply , to consider all forms of communication and IMO, particularly politics, which can and has affected our democratic processes so much of late.
Tammy Duckworth From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Tammy Duckworth - Wikipedia excerpt: "Duckworth was the first Thai American woman elected to Congress, the first born in Thailand elected to Congress, the first woman with a disability to be elected to Congress, the first female double amputee in the Senate, and the first Senator to give birth while in office. Duckworth is the second Asian American woman serving in the U.S. Senate, after Mazie Hirono, and before Kamala Harris. A combat veteran of the Iraq War, Duckworth served as a U.S. Army helicopter pilot and suffered severe combat wounds, which caused her to lose both of her legs and some mobility in her right arm. She was the first female double amputee from the war.[3] Despite her grievous injuries, she sought and obtained a medical waiver that allowed her to continue serving as a lieutenant colonel in the Illinois Army National Guard along with her husband, Major Bryan W. Bowlsbey, a signal officer and fellow Iraq War veteran. Both have since retired from the armed forces.[4] "
