When faced with a problem at the White House, the Trump was quick to build a border wall around it to try to save his own rear end.

When the U.S. was faced with the threat of the coronavirus, Trump did nothing and on March 10 said, "Just stay calm. It will go away."

The "fact" is he got the economy going? Not a "fact", just a questionable opinion. He goosed the economy with his tax cuts for the rich, at the expense of a rising debt and uncertainty down the road about the viability of programs like Social Security.

He is a world class demagogue who is a major threat to our democracy, which we'd be fools to sell for a mess of pottage.Unlike other demagogues though, he pitches his appeals mainly to his base, with divisive rhetoric. He is not a CEO. He is the President of the United States, and his job is to unite us, not divide us for the sake of electoral politics. He has never commanded majority support and has consistently had majority disapproval of his running of the country. Admittedly I'd complain if he were standing on the corner handing out $100 bills, especially if they came from the U.S. Treasury, because he'd be buying votes. Roman politicians were good at that, too, but Caesarism has no place in this country.
