"President Donald Trump announced Tuesday night that he is seeking a new state to host this summer’s Republican National Convention after host North Carolina refused to guarantee the event could be held in Charlotte without restrictions because of ongoing concerns over the coronavirus.

Trump announced the news via tweet, complaining the state’s governor, Democrat Roy Cooper, and other officials “refuse to guarantee that we can have use of the Spectrum Arena” and were not “allowing us to occupy the arena as originally anticipated and promised.”

“Because of @NC_Governor, we are now forced to seek another State to host the 2020 Republican National Convention,” he wrote."

"As police enforced a 7 p.m. curfew on Monday night, multiple helicopters were deployed to disperse protesters. Footage on social media showed an unarmed Lakota medevac craft with Red Cross markings using its rotor wash – or the downward rush of air from rotors – to disperse crowds.

“This was a foolish move,” Geoffrey Corn, a former Army lawyer and professor at the South Texas College of Law in Houston, told The Washington Post. “The symbolic significance of the Red Cross is pervasive: It denotes a ‘noncombatant’ function of the armed forces.”

Kyleanne Hunter, a former Marine Corps pilot, agreed that the use of the helicopter was an escalation and that it flew far too low to serve any useful surveillance purpose."

The extraordinary deployments have reached the streets of San Diego, Buffalo and Las Vegas.

But nowhere is the show of force as strong as in Washington, where Mr. Trump is seeking to demonstrate his might by flooding the city’s downtown with agents from the F.B.I., the Bureau of Prisons, the U.S. Marshals, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Homeland Security Investigations, Customs and Border Protection and the Defense Department, turning the nation’s capital into a heavily armed federal fortress. All of this force directed at protesters but not at deranged police officers who instigated the problem.

 

The deranged ones are those who Trump praised at his grandstand photo-op at the White House with over 40 sheriffs, many with sordid backgrounds.

It was similar to his grandstand photo-op at a church near the White House holding a Bible upside-down after tear gassing a peaceful protest.

Trump's daughter Ivanka and his Jewish son-in-law Kushner were with him at the church photo-op event. One would think that they would have pointed out to him that his Bible was upside-down, especially Kushner.

 

Melania had to remind Trump to place his hand over his heart for the playing of the national anthem during the Easter event. This is the anthem that Trump is so protective of that he made a big racially tinged stink about players kneeling during the anthem, the anthem that he doesn't know how to respect.

Melania is foreign-born and yet has more tact and scruples about American culture than Trump who starts up culture wars one after another.

 

Now in an election year, Trump is claiming that he is concerned about the rights of Black people after berated them with his culture war about kneeling during the national anthem which was symbolic of the players calling for an end to racial injustice.

 

YES !!! Peeking out of the bushes to say something that they perceive is popular at a given moment - then retreating into the bushes to support Rump when they SHOULD be doing what's right for the country. Spineless, nipple-sucking REPUBLICAN WAIFS, - and not just Murkowski and Collins - they ALL ARE. Fall-in-line rubber stamps on puppet strings. With the exception of Mitt Romney - the only one who early-on stood up to Rump.

I can very easily imagine how these useless, spineless, ETHICS-LESS REPUBS would be whining, bitching, condemning, and name-calling a Dem in the White House if that Democratic President said, did, and acted the very same way Rump has. Just look how many of those two-faced, hypocrite REPUBLICANS called Obama a tyrant, a dictator, a "trampler of the Constitution", and other such childish, far-fetched, inaccurate crap - and then when Rump got in & did the same things and far worse than Obama when it comes to executive orders and stomping on the Constitution like an authoritarian dictator - they sit silent …………………… little wimpy tails between their legs. Spineless, ETHICS-LESS, hypocritical, racist wimps …………….. many of them HATED the fact that a black man was elected President. HATED IT. H-A-T-E-D IT. Remember the words of REPUBLICAN Trent Lott, from the POOREST state in the U.S. - Mississippi - who said in reference to REPUBLICAN Senator Strom Thurmond of South Carolina - "If we had just listened to Senator Strom Thurmond years ago, we wouldn't have all these problems today."
(Senator Strom Thurmond was a well-known racist and he favored segregation.) Trent Lott is also a rabid racist, and he demonstrated that fact by his comments that day.

The Republican party has done a great job of completely FOOLING some black people into thinking the Republicans are their best hope for a fair & better future. The REPUBLICAN PARTY says nice things to black people to gain their votes - then slams the door in their faces with legislation (laws), and gerrymandering congressional voting districts so their votes don't count. The REPUBLICAN PARTY enacted PURGES of voter rolls in states like Georgia to keep black voters from voting - in case the black folks favored Democrats. This is further CORRUPTION of our election system.

How ANY black person (or Hispanic person) supports Republicans - or is a member of the REPUBLICAN PARTY - is mind-boggling to me!!! That's supporting a political party that has repeatedly slapped blacks and Hispanics in the face & kicked them in the balls. Most REPUBLICANS want a totally white world.They view black and Hispanic people as poisoning the gene pool. They won't come right out and say that - because they want black & Hispanic votes. But they've proven their disgust for blacks and Hispanics by laws they write, actions they take (like purging voter rolls and doing NOTHING to stop white cops from killing black unarmed people - to name just two things). Remember Trump said of the Charlottesville Nazi - White Supremacists that, "...…. They are some very fine people...….." It blows my mind that ANY African-American or Hispanic person would vote for a Republican politician !!!

Trump just issued an official statement indicating HE WENT TO THE BUNKER TO INSPECT IT. So that Australian Trump supporter should accept it now. Pictures are like a thousand words but a grown educated man should be able to read a thousand words with ease. Maybe there is a shortage of grown educated men in Australia?

 

So you gave up on his basement trip after he said he went there TO INSPECT IT?

IT will last because he didn't ask the church for permission. Now he looks like an ass who inspects basement during riots.

 

The media battle is in a very narrow Australian space between … well , not in all of America. As for history, Trump will always be remembered as the basement inspector.
