The image of beauty, deeply ingrained (if you read the article) .. one woman backed out because body hair was "gross" (for her). And of course, it would be "gross" for her if $he buy$ into beauty image$

Natural is beautiful, too.

But, it's good awareness for young women and teens to know that there are other options, other lifestyles, other ways to be a woman and not have to be the porn starish sexy hot type.

So the women basically protest against themselves. Because nobody is really forcing them to shave their armpits. Or their legs for that matter.

You need to get 50 models photographed with hairy armpits to get women's awareness up? That sounds really thin to me.

And shaving your armpits does not make you the porn-starish type.

Offend me? Where would you get that idea? I'm quite the tolerant guy.

As far as I'm concerned you can spray paint your armpits neon green if you so wish. It's your body.

But I don't grow a goatee to protest against guys who shave their faces. It's unnecessary.

Also: the women photographed were all models and actresses. The next casting they come to they will be smooth as babies. Otherwise there will be no job forthcoming.

Apart from stuff like that being way over my head.
