The Day That Hip Stood Still

I've wondered what everybody has been up to. Of course I saw where things were being revamped, and I wondered what in the world would HF be when it returned.

This is WAY WAY different.

I like the new emoticons.

 

Made me think again how boring the rest of the internet is. And I dont just mean the rest of the internet vs hip forums, but the rest of the internet vs messageboards

This site was down for two days, I filled the void with other messageboards, did not fill the void with bloody facebook or bloody twitter or douchebaggy celebrity instagram accounts

 

i was exploring hawaii and didn't even try to log in here. i said in another thread that i picked the wrong week to go on vacation, but really this was one of the only times that the downtime would have absolutely no effect on me.

Thats awesome, Hawaii is definitely better than whatever I did during the downtime

no, i'm not in any pictures. i'm not a selfie guy, or a "take my phone and get my picture" guy. but it happened anyway. which should have been obvious just because this was probably as long as i've gone without posting for a long time...

 

^ good call. the first picture was actually off banyan drive in hilo, but the second was undeniably kauai. we actually hit all four of the main islands while down there. amazing state, all around. just for good measure, here's the mountain goats i stumbled upon while taking the above picture:

 

It was longer than that, wasn't it? Everyone knew the closure was drug related in my mind.

 

my 26 yr old son lives outside of Hilo. .

Oh God, Hawaii...someday. Waikiki has some great waves for longboarding.
