The day I quit smoking weed was january 11th 2008. Almost 2 years ago.

How has it been?

I use to be back and forth on Christ as I smoked my weed all day long. But He woke me up and filled me with His light so I could see in this dark world. I have seen demons manifest in people(literally), I have seen visions, I have seen a lot of things that have thoroughly convinced me of Jesus Christ being real. So why would I want my brothers and sisters out there to waste their time and money on a counterfeit(weed) when the real thing is in JESUS, through the HOLY SPIRIT.

So, I love you guys, God loves you, and the Holy Spirit will bring you more joy than weed ever will. I know from experience. Be blessed..

 

blah blah blah. I didn't read it. I used to go to church. One of my best friends families went to mass 2 times a week for years and even gave up. I LOVE THAT MOVIE RELIGULOUS. You should watch it.

I'm sorry about you're friends who gave up. It is quite possible to go to church and never experience the Holy Spirit. There are dead churches out there. It's a sad thing.

Weed isn't a counterfeit. Not all of us use marijuana as a crutch for life like it sounds you used to do. Not all of us use marijuana to fill some void that religion could do.
Some people use marijuana for party purposes, some people use marijuana for health or stress purposes, some people like myself use it for both.

I was a christian for most of my life. I've had Generalized Anxiety Disorder for most of my life as well.
My family switched from Catholicism to Lutheranism, and the Lutheran church we went to instead was a very open and loving one. One that supports the gay community and does a shitload of community service. I learned a lot from them about life and it was a truly good experience.
Then I read the Bible.
That shit's the most ridiculous mythology I've ever read, and Yahweh is the absolute last thing I would pray to, worship, or feel loved by.

Marijuana however, has gone a long way towards calming me down. Marijuana has taught me to get past my hang ups and allowed me to become confident and love myself. This confidence has allowed me to find the girl I love and have been dating for three years, the girl I will one day marry (and possibly even by a Christian priest).
When I had my first panic attack, and limited symptom attacks all day, marijuana helped me to conquer the shakes I had (at first I couldn't even hold the blunt).
When I had such bad mono I couldn't swallow, marijuana helped my throat relax enough so I could squeeze through some jello.

Still, I don't dare tell anyone they should smoke, or pressure them to smoke.

If Christianity has really warmed your life so much, you're doing a fucking terrible job of showing it. Your apparent need to convert us shows the exact opposite. It's pitiful, needy, hateful (though so cleverly disguised), controlling, and absolutely fucking disgusting.
If Yahweh didn't support this blatant disregard for your fellow man's will I would tell you to go confess.

What I mean by counterfeit is this- it's not just pot. It's ANYTHING that is not from God. Food, sex, alcohol, any thing that is TEMPORARY, and not of the Holy Ghost. Not that we can't take part in these things(under circumstances that are OK'd by Yahweh).

So, it's not me vs. weed. It's me just telling people that God loves them and that Jesus Christ is real and His Holy Spirit can change you. In fact, His Holy Spirit could stop your panick attacks and mono, if you would let Him.
