Just wondering if anyone else has actually seen this movie? It's a Jim Henson movie and it's genious it's a pretty trippy movie for the most part, but I think people would like it if they took the time to watch it.
I think it's a great movie. Alot of people put it down for the lack of special effects and such, but they forget that the movie was made in the early 80's. I heard that they're coming out with a sequel so I'm super excited.
I loooove, love, love this Movie! The Dack Crystal, its a classic. I have the book some where of the story from the movie and would love a copy of the movie its self. The creatures are so detailed and neat. The World they created all natural feeling let so different. I have watched the extra stuff on a DVD copy that shows how they made the movie and the inspiration and everything. So neat!!! Brain Froud was the illustrator that created the look of all the puppets they made in to creatures and charactors. So cool love fizgig. Peace,Clove
no way!!! This is probably my favorite movie of all time! You've no idea how great of news this is to me, and I don't even really get into movies that much. Wait is jim henson even alive anymore? Gosh it'd be a shame if someone else was doing it and they screwed it all up. Jim Henson is god if you ask me.
Great movie. I loved the original language dialog scenes on the dvd extras. They were so into making the movie they made up languages for some of the creatures.
Jim Henson did both the Labyrinth and the Dark Crystal.... Oh and unfornately he is dead, Jim passed on do to a illness quite a few years ago. However, Jim Henson's Productions is still around. They may be doing that sequal... Peace, Clove

Aw, I love both those movies. I remember watching them at my grandma's house as a kid. Hmm... I rented it a while back... I think I found it in the children's section...? I dunno... depends on the store.
i love the dark crystal one of my all time favorite movies. I used to pretend I was a gelfling when i was little. my husband bought my daughter a shirt with the gelfling girl on the front and on the back it says "of course you don't have wings, your a boy"
