i'm indifferent. i really enjoy some of roberts stuff, some of it not so much. i wouldn't say that i am a fan, but i definitely do have respect for them.
I'm a huge fan - Saw them back in the day when I was 15 in 1985 at the Tower Theatre in Philadelphia, PA. The place is a two tier venure and only the first two rows of the second teir were sold. It was great to see them back then when they were hardly known in America. To this day it stands out asone of my all time fave concerts. Dropped a lot of face to the Pornography album! Just got the new CD for Xmas. Glad to see that Robert and Simon kept it together for so long!
Opposite for me, I like The Cure way more than Depeche Mode, though "Black Celebration" is a masterpiece. I've been hooked on "Seventeen Seconds" lately. I don't have a favorite band but The Cure are certainly a front-runner for me. I especially love their dark albums and wouldn't be able to choose between any of them. I got to see them last summer and they were fantastic, even from the lawn. I just wish they played more stuff from "Faith" and "Pornography" though but they did most of "Disintegration" which makes up for that.
They're alright. But I'm not quoting you to tell you that. I wanted to let you know that the original poster of this thread was around in 2008 and probably isn't here anymore. At least, I haven't seen anyone here going by sdng. That was so long ago! I like The Cure. I don't really have favorite material by them, but I do like "Mint Car" which was played lots when I was in High School around 1996-1998.
Omg i love the Cure. i bought the ep, lp of Just Like Heaven when it came out. other side is tune called A Chain of Flowers, or something close to that. both are 2 of the cures best tunes. so romantic or something. theyre great!!!
