It seems that right wing supporters don’t like to be questioned, they dismiss or ignore the questioners or critics, they get irritable and/or self righteous, they claim they can or have answered the criticism (but can produce no evidence) and if that doesn’t work they simply run away In 2001 it was mainly neo-cons and Bush supporters most just shouted abuse or came out with platitudes – you are just a bunch of pinko communists – love America or leave it – you’ll see when we find Saddams WMD’s - But there were still many that wanted to push the right wing viewpoint but as things got worse for the neo-con policies, they couldn’t even get self righteous in the face of criticism of the policies and so faded away. The ideological believers lasted longer but even they found it increasingly hard to face the criticisms levelled at them and they disappeared. And so the last few years we've been left with the successor’s mainly right wing libertarians that could say they had nothing to do with Bush or the neo-con faction and even opposed their policies. They push the same wealth supporting ideas as others on the right (if not even more so) although they are much more vocal in claiming they don’t and just as unable to counter the criticism that they do. But they have fared little better and they to seem to be fading away as well It’s not because they have withdrawn from debate that I call them cowards but that I suspect few if any of them has had the courage to ask themselves the question – why do I hold onto ideas that I’m unable to defend from criticism.
Why would I have to have courage to ask myself a question that doesn't apply to me? Seems it would take confusion not courage.

This is interesting to follow. I will vote now. The memory is instantly abstract and different from the recollection. Concretely, I know who I am.:sunny:
letlovin Or I could point to the discussion we had on this page - http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/showthread.php?t=476396&page=4 You tell me i repeat too much then ask me to repeat - look my ideas are all out there and you were in a lot of those threads are you saying you never read any of it? But I’m very happy to link to all our old talks if you wish.
letlovin We could go back to the environment thread if you want http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/showthread.php?t=465568&page=16 And I promise not to bring up that silly granddad argument you brought up.
I think k you have me confused with someone else Bal. I don't see a conversation between us and I don't see any criticisms of my ideals.
LOL Lets see so the LetLovinTakeHold there http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/showthread.php?t=476396&page=4 is not you - maybe I should get rid of that other person or we might get confused?
I see one comment from me on that page that wasn't responded to by you or anyone else. I'm getting bored again bal, do you want to have a discussion or a circle jerk?
Keanu Reeves is political guide? OK what political stance has he, where does he stand economically, how about his views on welfare, etc?
or maybe it was the words that maybe your right is different to mine. you say the right this and that but how far right are you talking about. for example obama is right compared to some other countries that have members on this forum.
McFuddy sorry that post was meant to have a smily face at end I mean Keanu Reeves? I’ll edit to stick one in. Pen – yes and I’ve said many times that to me the Democratic Party of the US is right of centre. I’ve tried to explain many times that there are many shades of right and left and often it is a matter of where one stands, but that’s part of the fun in politics.
Perhaps during the Clinton years this was a valid statement. Could it be true now? Seemingly polarization has driven the two parties back upon their most ideological supporters. We are witnessing a new Mayor in New York City; Bill DeBlasio who is left of center. and yes, its fun. Is President Obama a centrist? One thing that is not fun is seeing people espouse such an affinity for firearms.
