the rich here in america are conservatives; the poorer working-class tend to be liberal.

 

The margin of difference is actually rather small, and if you notice, the richer states are the more liberal ones, while the poorer ones tend to be the more conservative ones.

urban areas tend to be more liberal, where as the richer suburbs tend to be conservative, as are the hicks in the sticks

for instance, Austin is a fairly liberal town, whereas West Austin is conservative; though they have more money, they vote Republican, with the rest of the ignorant dogmatic hicks. false sense of security is the factor

 

The only reason that "Hicks" are conservative is because of their religious beliefs and Bush is good at stroking their Jesus receptor sites.

The Republican Senate has never passed a government program, never wanted to ban gays from getting married, never wanted to get their policies inside a woman's uterus, never wanted to force their religious beliefs down our throats via the school system.

No, Republicans and Conservatives are our friends. They are here to protect us from terrorists like anyone who disagrees with their philosophy.

 

So my concept of conservatism is arbitrarily limited to what you understand it to be by the actions of those I would in no way consider conservatives? Who said they are my conservatives? When did I mention REAL conservatives? I recall only mentioning 'my concept of conservatism' I also never said anything about currently being able to do that, merely that I believe it should be as I said, the government minding it's own damn business and quite taking away my freedom, privacy and money, and let me handle my own life.
