Besides the new to me coffee table I got at Goodwill today, (matching end table I'm not using at the moment, probably use the top as a built in) and the cushions for the chair, I got a GE X5 digital camera for $5.50... Not a bad piece, 14mp and big enough to hold on to... I can't deal with those tiny soapbar cameras they sell these days. Gotta get used to all the settings and features, but it works fine.

Sometimes 5 washing machines would come in handy here, with all of the millions of blankets I have to wash all of the time....lol

How did they launder in Victorian era and before that, when everything was so ornate as well, in garments, linens, table cloths.... and just about everything.....? Holy mackeral!
    Mind boggling, really.

i had the adventure of washing the large king quilt .. holy shit!! once in the tub it wouldnt absorb much water. but when it did it weighed a ton. then I had to lift it to the window while twisting it to get some water out., then I had to toss sheet out for it to land on so not to get dirty again, then I had to rig up the picnic table with chairs on top to lay it over. quilt was so heavy it took out one my rusty line poles. after it dried some, I hauled it to the laundromat for the drier...

i drove over this bridge a few times with trucks

last time i was pulling a huge trailer with another scrap truck loaded on it

it was in better shape back then...i see the snowmobiles have worn it down and some tyes have rotted...it was scary as heck even when it was half decent shape

there used to be a tiny little outcropped deck with railing for safety if you were walking across and a train was coming..looks like it fell off

Hopefully it'll be restored, though I know nothing about that one. It's a big'un.

People are finally getting around to even pretty bad/sad steam locomotives.

Town I used to live in is finally getting around to their totally un-mothballed one, I believe, or at least talk about it's starting - scrapping it was never even a discussion (or at least, not in the recent-enough past for me to remember - I'm sure it once was), but it hasn't been cared for AT ALL. When I was younger people would just go there to hang out, or take their kids to play - like the playground, but way better - not really anywhere on it I didn't go, save the firebox - it and the funnel were welded up. I think they at least have some lawyer-fence up to keep people off it now (which is a shame, if it's not on the verge of restoration - no playground could ever match it, and it's not like it's got any parts that will be hurt or stolen more than they have been, after half a century out there).
