im trying to learn how to grow outside for the first time and i need to kno some of the basics (not the really fine details). I kno its late to plant out side but where i live we have 3 hot months left and im just practiceing b4 i make a big plant in the spring... wat are the basics i need to kno from seeds to transplanting and just about everything else. If anyone could help me id greatly appricate it. Peace
Heat has very little to do with growing pot outside. It all has to do with the light cycle of the sun. Pot is an annual. Plant in the spring (when the days are getting longer), harvest in the fall (when the days are getting shorter). The longest day (light) of the year was a month ago, since then the days have been getting shorter. Nighttime lengths will become long enough in a few weeks to trigger flowering. If you planted seeds now, you would get a very small yield per plant, because they wouldn't have much time to veg before this occurs and would not be sexually mature when budding starts (mid--late Aug). My suggestion is to plant some seeds in prepared soil, keep them watered with veg nutrients until 09/01, then switch to bloom nutrients, but don't count on any bud. And prepare for '06. Reading a grow book will help you tons.
ya im thinkin of buying one.. but the prob is i live with my folks and just getting it and hoping to god they dont find it.. ya i didnt expect to yield much, i just got the idea from reading some of these posts of how much free bud they get from growing, and i figured i could to a little practice run b4 really trying to get a good crop in the spring.. btw how far can u smell it from if its outdoors... i just read something recently that said it reeks
Many of Ed's (and other's) books are available free, on-line. How far away it can be smelled depends on how many, how big, and at what stage the plants are in (strains of some budding plants positively REEK). Usually, outdoor plants are seen before smelled.

They are responsible for what goes on and if you get busted so do they. That could mean jail for them and foster care for you. Best to do a guerilla-style grow out in the woods.
