Well, I caught the little momma raccoon and released her.

What's really wild is that those raccoon arms and paws can reach right up through the wire in that trap. It's a little scary because I have to pick the trap up and move it some to get to the door for release.

It shouldn't be too long before that big mean ass comes along.

 

I caught another raccoon. I think it was the same little momma.

It was not the big beat up one.

It's so scary trying to let them out. This one can put it's whole front leg through the wire, up to it's armpit.

I put the cage away for tonight. I'm tired.

 

We are starting the shut down process. Not gonna get out of here on schedual.
Last week they told us there will be extra work and it was the only time we got out of here on our schedualed time.

 

I bought a Fitbit today. pretty cool. I got the larger surge one because it works with my music on my iPhone. And it's basically a replacement for the watch I broke the other day. Pretty nifty thing.

 

I will be in the delivery room when my sister has her baby in two weeks...soo excited !!!!

 

bring something to eat 2 weeks is a ong time to wait in the delivery room....cant they just call you when baby crowns

Also will make sure the umbilical cord doesn't get cut right away but stays on at least a minute or two before being cut

And also that they don't immediatly wash off the vernix caseona (white substance that covers baby during delivery)

And I will just be in awe of the miracle of birth

And will help the first week after delivery :sunny:

Yeah mother racoons are the most aggressive. They will charge you like a bull if you get between them and their cubs. Most other raccoons will just want to run away. It's nice of you to let the mother go.

 

I would be the king of procrastination but I decided to wait until tomorrow to start earning that crown.
