The Ancient Ones _____________ The ancient ones were wise people. They learned to live and lived to learn, they taught the young and the old right from wrong, to listen to the bird’s song, that the Earth is where we belong, The ancient ones were good people. Who prayed everyday and worked before play, they were never mean or greedy, they always gave to the needy, and sowed their lands with love, The anceint ones were strong people. They trained hard and long, under the knowledge of their enemy obtained, they were brave and fearless, unmerciful to the wicked, they fought until the end.
I like this because it displays some of the ideal human characteristics but how can someone be "never mean" and "unmerciful" at the same time.
