The location accuracy of location services in apps. It can detect the location of your cell phone with astounding accuracy. Not only just the street address I'm on, but the exact location of the building I'm in!

Google earth also has views of the inside of some buildings...if find a picture of the inside of my apartment using the app I'll sue Google.

    Very concerning. I agree.

Last fall I rescued a few kids that nearly died, and 911 couldn't find me even though I had my GPS function turned on. So I'm like "WTF is this worth, man?" It's just garbage.

I like the feature with the GPS hiking and geographical apps. I use coordinates a lot. For job sites too.

So modern smart phones have a gps chip built into them. You can turn off the permissions to apps, but as the smart phone OS is the slave partition, not only can you not turn off your gps, even with a rooted phone...

But you know that scene in movies where they take the battery out of their cell phones? Totally won't work. There's a seperate battery inside your phone which powers the gps and broadcom radio. You would have to keep your phone in a microwave, or physically open your phone and remove the gps.

Guess I don't have that app, if you have to pay for it, hopefully....I only use my cell for emergencies. Few people have the number....and then they wonder why people get almost paranoid.....with every piss one takes being watched. lol

umm, yeah - I am more worried about cops than any other people, at least the average person after me does not have a weapon and the training to use it - nor has the average person proven to me to be as hateful to me.
