Rich is a subjective term, but our society defines rich as having the most material things, objects (bling bling, the newest and fastest car, the newest computer) and living not through labour, but owning property. Bill Gates would be considered a very rich man. There are no differences between poor and rich, but material differences. The rich keep the poor poorer and working to increase their leisure time and the poor keeps the rich richer through their ignorance. You do not fit the societal definition of rich. The ideology is constantly heard, work hard and you will be rich, work hard and you will make more money and own more things, work, work to be free and happy, work to be rich....... If this is true, shouldn't a man who works 70 hours a week be richer and happier than a man who works 15 hours a week?
some people thrive on 70 hour weeks of productivity.. even in the "computer/modern" age that we live in.. a 26 an below year old should excell an surpass those of elder age.. not fear getting fired because of there incapabilities.. its ludicrous for my minds eye to think this is anything less than what ive stated before.. and for the record,, your arguements only reinforce my conviction.. but to each his own,,.. luv n lite
What do you mean by productivity? This is about working standards not capabilities or incapabilities. What convictions?
my convictions that theres nothing wrong with working hard, then reaping the rewards an building on them.. my conviction that a job no matter what it is should be based on performance not how long ya been there or who yer dad is..my conviction that the goverment should not be the one who dictates whos equal.. my conviction that i know the blind and i know those who see the lite.. luv n lite..
Of course there is not, but define working hard? what does it mean to work hard and hard for what and whom? Working hard doesn't mean working more/long hours. What good is it if you work hard and you are still unable to make a living? There are people in America who work two jobs that equals 80 hours a week and cannot make living but people in Canada who work 30 hours a week and have better living standards. Are Canadians not working hard because they work 30 hours a week? Who should then? How do you measure performance?
