ok, so i'm aware that thai stick is made from dipping dope in hash oil, but i was wondering if it would be possible to use it to make hash. If this is possible, what is the best way to do this, and what would be the average hash yield.

What exactly are you asking? Bud -> hash or Hash Oil -> hash?

Bud -> Hash yield is 10% or so weight wise.

Thai stick was a form of cannabis from Thailand popular during the late '60s and early '70s. It consisted of premium buds of seedless marijuana which were skewered on stems. Several rows of string found in the stalk of the marijuana plant were then used to tie the marijuana to the stem and therefore, keep it in place. Thai-stick bud may also be tied around bamboo sticks with a piece of string known as a "rasta hair". [1]
The Thai-stick formulation exhibited higher potency in comparison with other cannabis available in the United States at the time. It was rumored that this added potency was due to the Thai sticks being dipped in opium. With the advent of more potent marijuana in the late '70s, Thai-stick declined in popularity, and eventually disappeared.
In modern terminology, "thai-stick" often refers to marijuana tied to stem as documented above and then dipped into a hashish oil, a potent cannabis derivative which saturates the buds and lends to a stronger smoke. Some California cannabis clubs sell this product.
There are still some surviving recipes from Thai monks, and from Cambodia where high quality marijuana and hash oil are used.

Thai stick is nothing more than pot from Thailand, very very good pot when I was in the war (Vietnam) Thai stick is what we bought it was better than Vietnam pot. It is still the best you just can't get any more it's to hard to smuggle in this country it smells really strong a dead give away. Wish I had half of what I would throw away if I did I would have some. One stick cost 25 cents and one stick would last like 2 or 3 days, very pontent. (keep on thinking free)

Yes I'm from the Burgh, The Churchill area. Not the best place to find really good pot, mostly home grown, but still a good place to live.

    Keeping on thinking free.

i have some bud dipped in hash oil. I was just wondering if the yield of hash would be higher than that of just the buds since it has been dipped in the oil.

O Yeah. The only question I have is that normally hash oil has the trichomes broken down (by that I mean the resin heads ruptured) and you could use a butane extraction but probably not the ole bubble bags (water extraction). So I would really just fire up that lovely soaked bud.
