Texting

I recently got unlimited text messaging and I've turned into a fiend!
It's terrible. :&

NO, thank god(if there is one).

In fact, my pet hate is that text spelling that needs more effort to decypher than it does to write it properly in the first place.

Yes...but I don't have unlimited texting so I try to keep it to a minimum. I hate talking on the phone.

I'm the same way Red, I find it easier to just write properly.
I can't stand calling people and texting is usually more convenient.
But the one thing I can't stand is when you're hanging out with someone who is constantly on their cell phone. That really drives me up the way. So I put it away when I'm around someone.

 

Mobile phones make people think that you should be available 24 hours a day.

'But why didn't you pick up my call yesterday? I missed called you 12 times?'

Yeah, you'd think you would've gotten the hint after the third one. I DIDN'T FUCKING WANT TO TALK TO YOU!

I also like texting because it's free internationally where as calling isn't.

 

heh yeah I've had unlimited for awhile... Im definatley a fiend. I like ti though because its a subtle way to communicate

 

Yeah a lot of my friends and i text back and forth, mainly during times when your busy in class or chillin with some people. Its good for quick questions and shit

 

This all just reinforces my decision never to get a cel phone.

 

Hey go for it if thats what you are trying to do. I get a lot done with my cellphone. Probably growing some brain tumors in the process, but whatever

 

It's also a security thing for me too. I feel safer when I'm out with it. Especially now that I'm going to a new city.

 

I just got this text message "Hey Sexy" from some unknown number, so I'm like whatever and text back, "Hey there" but then they said it was a wrong number. I'm disappointed. I was hoping for a little deviancy.

t9 is evil... it's where you type in the letters only pressing each button once and the phone guesses wrongly what you were trying to say and puts something random (that commonly isn't even a word) there instead. i text a lot because i hate talking on the phone and texting is more convenient lots of times, but some of my friends who use t9 send me the most gibberish messages, and it's a waste of time because then i have to text them back asking what they meant and then they have to text back explaining themselves; i can usually figure it out though, especially if it's from the main person i text with just because i know her well enough to figure out what she wants at most times

 

I cannot stand cell phones. As a matter of fact, whenever I see somebody using a cell phone in public, either to talk or text, I want to rip it out of their hands and slam it on the ground. I cannot stand the things.

People who feel they need to text while driving are the worst. Talking on the cell phone while driving is bad enough. It's one thing for a person to not give a shit about their own safety, but at least have some consideration for other people on the road.

 

I rarely use my cell phone....but I am texting someone right now. Mainly I use my cell to call my mom when I get to where ever I am going. She thinks anytime I leave the house I'm going to die in a car accident....so I call her to ease her anxiety.
