Texas vs. Florida

Ok, as many of you know, I might be given the option of relocating soon with my job. I have been considering moving to either Texas, probably around the Austin area, or Florida...for some time now. Well, the decision may be coming sooner than I thought. So, I was wondering if you guys have ever been to either place, and if you have anything interesting about either spot that I might like to hear before I decide.

i didnt read i thought it was a comparison on sports or something, as for relocation, take florida all the way, texas is cool sometimes but theys some real fucked folks there, if you go fla go j-ville or something farther south, if you buyin a house invest in one that can stand a hurricane

Ick, neither.

I lived in Florida for about eight months...and hated it...HATED it. It's nice to visit...but not a great place to live. I've only visited Texas...but Austin is an AMAZING city. Probably one of the most progressive cities in the US.

 

sorry, i have a mild dislike for those states

So....if Austin is amazing, why would you say neither??

Come on guys, this is serious, I have lived here all my life, and I might be uprooting in a matter of months, or sooner. I am very excited to move someplace different, but I don't want to choose wrong.

here's the thing: i have always wanted to live near the ocean. i love water..i wanted to move out to socal when i was younger because my brother lives out there, but i have kind of outgrown that notion. but florida seems like a really nice, humid, beautiful place to be. clear water, white sands, warm sunny weather, whats not to like?

 

I loved Austin, but if you don't move there...then...I wouldn't recommend you live in Texas at all...

But that's just my opinion. Florida is a shithole...it really is...it's nice to visit...but a really crappy place to live. Texas isn't much better...unless it's Austin...just my opinion.

Florida in the summer? An extremely terrible experience.

 

what i like best about austin is the cool artsie communities and shops, and all the live music, blues and whatnot. i am really into that stuff, and austin is a great city for it.

 

Florida may not be a shit hole to someone else, not everyone has the same taste but one things for sure if he has enough since to move if he doesn't like it he can't go wrong am I right?

exactly. even if i do go there and like it, i might still move in a couple more years. there's alot of world to see.

 

but you just ruled out both of his options some of the shit you hated he might like.
