I have already stopped eating poultry altogether, and I went to the store and got two new meats to try. Lightlife meatless hamburger and lightlife meatless sausage, anyone have any suggestions on better meatless meat brands or recipes to make them tasty?

treat them pretty much as critter.
That's kind of their point: the comfort food /convenience food.
Having never eaten pork sausage in my life, I cannot help you there, but with the mock beef, my pet omnis...er husband and child.... like the ground round. I simply get out the BHG cookbook with the red and white cover and use it as a straight sub. None of us likes meat loaf so that is obviously not in rotation.
Also, liquid smoke will be your friend, as will bragg's liquid amino's and veggie worchestershire (lea & perrins and other trad Worchestershire sauces use anchovy paste.)
Personally, I like it for convenience as sloppy joe/ messy mike base.
aside from the brainless dinner convenience, I really only "crave" a veggie burger or such when it is cold and I'm really hungry. luckily, the Welton Street Cafe (Denver, CO 27th and Welton ON LIGHT RAIL!) makes great ones!

Boca brats are a hit, too. I find them large and split them in half lengthwise.
Here again, this is convenience and craving what the food usually carries: this is my minced onion, mustard and slaw fix. It just works better with a slightly oily "base".

Okay You have to try these : MorningStar Farms Chik patties (I get the parmesan ranch flavor, they have original but I haven't tried it yet) unfortunitly their not vegan, so when I make the switch I won't be eating them :(

They are Fucking Amazing, I've never had a veggie product that tasted so much like chicken!

you can do so much with them... I've put them in all the recipes I've used in the past that called for chicken and the meals come out Great!

I cooked one up for some of my omni relatives and they all sampled it and LOVED it! my nephew was even asking how much they cost and where to buy them, he said they taste better then chicken! lol

I'll have to second the Morningstar Farms products. My favorites are the chik'n nuggets, buffalo wings, chik patties, and the Italian marinara. I think the mini corn dogs and veggie burgers are disgusting though. I also tried the honey mustard chik'n tenders a few days ago and they tasted okay but the texture was kind of spongey. (probably due to the fact that I cooked them in the microwave)

Tofupups and smartdogs are also good.

where do you get morning star farm products? i usually go to walmart, and i only saw lightlife.

Okay, i tried the lightlife "hamburger" meat in spagetti, and it was really crumbly, but it doesnt have any taste, so, i should try liquid smoke......

I like Amy's Burgers and Tofu Pups. Meatless Meatballs went over well with some omni company and Chik-free nuguts are fun.
