Nope. I'd only pick Eric Prydz outta that list. Most of the bands I like are unfortunately either separated or dead.
I'm sure everybody has also heard of Wu tang clan. I think I also ran into a stage with Mambo Kurt on it once!
Gang of Four... great post-punk band going back to the late 70s. Not sure how good they still are, though. Their first two albums were brilliant. Their second album from '81, Solid Gold, is my favorite, though. My Bloody Valentine, in my opinion, would be the highlight of all those bands listed. I wouldn't mind seeing Wu-Tang, either, as they're one of my all-time favorite hip-hop groups. I am actually unfamiliar with most of those bands listed, though. Some of them sound Eastern European.
Only free festivals Just kidding, but this festival would not have any priority in my book musicwise.
What's with those british tourists then? And if you are fond of british festival go-ers I recommend Sziget (lots of dutch too though... ) as well
Did you Google/Youtube any? A few are quite good, imho - Calexico and Koan Sound. Although, I'd probably be taking a whiz when Mambo Kurt is on. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fYPnuv2IHLo"]Mambo Kurt - Final Countdown - YouTube
I abhor My Bloody Valentine, but yes, both Gang of Four and Wu-Tang Clan are great. Seeing Wu-Tang perform Triumph live would be incredible, used to bump that while hitting blunts driving around the hood. March of the wooden soldiers C-Cypher punks couldn't hold us A thousand men rushing in, not one nigga was sober Perpendicular to the square, we stamp gold like Fleer Escape from your dragon's lair, in particular, My beats travel like a vortex, through your spine To the top of your cerebral cortex Make you feel like you bust a nut from raw sex Enter through your right ventricle, clog up your bloodstream Now terminal, like Grand Central Station Program fat basslines on Novation Getting drunk like a fuck, I'm ducking five-year probation
Didn't have to, there's too many names on there that I would not pay money to see. Besides I prefer Electronic Festivals, especially if I'm gonna fly half way around the world to see one.
Agh, so you do recognise the majority of the acts, and also know the type of music they produce? fair enough.
