Normally I really couldn't care less when these movies come out, but this one is different. The actress playing Sara Connors originally played an ordinary young woman, a character she was normally typecast as, but insisted on a more complex character for doing a sequel. Arnold just had to act like a machine, which comes naturally to him, and she got to act crazy which also comes naturally to her, so it works better. Anyway, the plots of these terminator movies are some of the few in Hollywood that I give a crap about, because the writers attempt to make them as vague and believe at the same time as they can, and she proved to be more of an actor than the series deserved.

I won't set expectations that high but I'll probably see it.

    This looks so generic.

Hollywood only makes generic movies anymore.

I rather liked the last one, Genysis, even though it could be argued that was generic with a circular storyline.

This one no doubt will have a storyline that doesnt end things. And I will presume Hamilton and Arnie wont be that convincing as freedom fighters in there advanced years.

But there is just something about Terminator movies, I will be going to the cinema to see this one

I disagree that they look too old. If they do, it's only because we're not used to seeing it. Youth, youth, youth everywhere.
The fact they are older is a reason I would be interested in this film because it's not really my kind of thing usually.

Virtual reality is the future, because nobody will ever have to look each other in the eye again.

Sadly, terminator robots may be the only thing that saves the human species.

I don't mind if they're what would save humanity.

They will, the truth is our universe is magical, and our technology has been becoming progressively indistinguishable from magic since Newton. Constructing terminator robots that obey classical logic and don't resemble the human mind and brain's quantum mechanics, is rapidly becoming too expensive and inefficient. IBM's Watson was designed to not resemble a human mind and brain, but he acquired an unsolicited case of potty mouth anyway, because logic inevitably falls apart and becomes grossly inefficient. Watson has even turned out to be all but useless for anything other than winning on Jeopardy.

I know it sounds bizarre, but we take things like gravity and invisible electromagnetic waves for granted, because the rise of modern civilization never depended on being able to make sense out of such things. Every time an electronics engineer has complained to me about having to account for electron holes moving around on chips, rather than the electrons themselves, I've offered to explain and they've all turned me down flat. Knowing the truth or even being in touch with reality is not part of their job description.

You may be right. It is a loss though.
Eye contact is a drug. We could all do with more of it.

There's no money in it for the pharmaceutical companies. They are experimenting on ways to make you cream your jeans for the porn industry, while popping pills that keep you erect.

Its only really a drug for you ladies.

Guys look each other in the eye too long, they either then want to try punch each other out, or they turn gay ;)
