I know tempura is not just fish, but I was wondering if anyone was into it and wanted to swap/share recipes?

I make eggplant tempura... well my version of it anyway, and all that is is self rasing or plain flour, salt, pepper, chili, and garlic and milk, mix to a relitively thick consistenct, chuck in your ingredients, and fry like a mofo

You can get tempura mix. Great veggies done in this style include:

    thinly sliced sweet potato
    broccoli
    carrot
    zucchini

McCormick makes a number of fried-food batters, including Fish and Chips, when if done with frozen then thawed and marinated tofu, is delicious.

Are you talking about agadeshi tofu?

They have a different flake type from tempura.

Some also use long beans and american/western potatoes (thinly sliced) for tempura.
