NSW is known for fining motarists for having defects to thier vehicles even for things that are working .The classic one is the brake lights because during the day you cannot prove the police are lying. And the police wonder why juries are sceptical of "police evidence".

    South Australia,
excellent food, especially jerusalems on hindley, thats if u like to experience different tastes and are not too boring. parklands, its great to be close to the city and also be able to walk in the park for a break. lastly big sidewalks, this means that you don't have to fear being hit by the traffic.

    New South Wales,
Events, nsw is by far the most exciting place to live, there is always a place that you can go and visit, for example baci galupo's on the main road in Newtown, is a great place to go and have breakfast in the mornings and then head down to oxford for the afternoon. The clubs in kings cross are wild. blue mountains are an excellent place to go and visit and spend the weekend relaxing, the bnbs are some of the best in Australia.

    Victoria,
The trams are fun to go on and the fashion and clothing are superb, if any of you boys have a girl and would like to go shopping in a place that won't bore you, Melbourne is the place to go. The funniest thing is the hook right turn, which didn't make sense to me when i moved down from Sydney, but it eventually all made sense. oh yeah Vics love their footy more than any other state thats AFL, for all the NSWelshmans.

    Western Australia,
has the most relaxed environment, that harbour and the local are some of the friendliest and charasmatic i have ever met, unfortunately i only spent about 1 year in Perth but i would have liked to spend more time there.

    Northern Territory,
the freshest food, unfortuantely also being the most expensive, but the weather usually is the so nice and warm and in the country in some places there is no speed limit, so for the ppl who are cursed with the lead foot syndrome are lucky that they are never going to get a speeding ticket.

    Queensland,
humid, hot and wet, the summer is the best and the main thing i remember about bundie is that in the morning i could go down to the river and go swimming, nice place alot of things to do also because of the increased number of tourists.

i am truly an Australian i have lived in almost every part of Australia, but as the old saying goes beauty is in the eye of the beholder and i love SA and always will, probally cause of the beer and that i was born there. i haven't been to Tazy yet, but i will aim to visit them before the end of the year.

PS i know it is long and i apologise but Australia is such a great place that it deservse a reasonable attempt at a fair evaluation. thanx

I'm currently living in Renmark, in the "Riverland" region of South Aus. We are about an hour from Mildura, and 2.5hrs from Adelaide. This area is known for:
backpackers wanting to earn money picking fruit
truck drivers on their way interstate
    Oranges
    Almonds
    Grapes
    The Murray River!
    The Big Orange
Berri (town & brand of fruit juice)
The largest winery in the southern hemisphere
The tallest McDonalds sign in the sth hemisphere
The biggest rose garden in the sth hemisphere
Pretty dry here; only 2 inches of rain so far this year

And we have no Hungry Jacks :( !!! nearest one is Mildura.

There used to be a rollercoaster in the myer centre... that was pretty cool! freaky as hell though!

And now they've torn down Magic Mountain.... *Sigh* I know it was ugly an all, but i'd rather stare at a bunch of kids havin fun than a bunch of rich yuppies washing their veedubs outside their beachside apartments. damn redevelopment to hell!!!
