ive just found this about tea tree from here - http://altmedicine.about.com/od/herbsupplementguide/a/TeaTreeOil.htm just thought some of you might wanna know..
aha overdose? well geez, i know you're not supposed to eat it, but i don't think it's that serious. as a kid, my parents always brushed their teeth with *pure* teatree oil. ya know, just dip the toothbrush in it before you brush....but i guess if you're allergic it can be more serious.
That must be why the Norwegian people in charge of tea tree oil sale thought it presented a greater hazzard to health than cigarettes and refused to allow its sale.... *Marge Simpson noise*
I put a little drop of really diluted stuff on my piercing and *thankgawds* I didn't have a reaction xD Thanks smelly Never was too sure about tea tree... *hisses at bottle*
nah its good for antiseptic purposes etc.. read the rest of the article. i just highlighted that bit cause i know lux is still breastfeeding her babe
I think in France homeopathics suggest the best way is orally,Well thats what it said in my book. Ive used pure tea tree in my toothpaste that I made with veg glycerine and bi carb but only a few drops and it was ok.......... Im still alive
yeah, that article has things about tea tree mouthwashes being alright, as long as you dont swallow it
i love those tea tree oil enpregnated toothpicks that u chew and suck on it is strong medicinem ofcourse but alittle internaly wont hurt u (unless preg i guess) i knew ppl whod drink hydrogen peroxide and would roll init (pore irt on a tarp then roll in it) they claimed it hyper oxygenated theyre blood so they were much healthier sand full of energy (if not pale and bleached looking) i wouldnt recomend it at all, but clearly a lil in theyre diets didnt kill em. drinking a bottle of teatree oil odviosly isnt smart, and the taste would be overpowering and make u puke but if u swallow a drop or 2 i dont think it'll really harm u but esential oils are super concentrated..if u ever got cinimon esential oil and put a single drop on your tongue youid realize how very strong it is. ..and everything has an overdose level, you can od on letuce if u eat enough (would take a ton) but in super concentrated form it takes far far less. its good to pay attention to warningsm, but i wouldnt fear a small amopunt. like i said i suck on and chew up those teatree oil toothpicks alot, and they must have a few drops on each.. 3-4 mighyt make your tummy feel lil funny but wont do u no harm.
homeopathics though are a special process. for instance, arnica cant be bought because its a piosion, but homeoparthic arnica is safe. homeopathics often use deadly herbs to treat major illnesses. the process is you take a mother tincture, then dilute it over and over. at 10x (typicaly a low dose tge lowest u will see used) there is no actual measurable mass of the oru=iginal herb in the preperation. then the more u dilute it, (take it farther from the mother tincture) the stronger it becomes. 40x being 4 times stronger 10 c 100 times and 10 m 1000 in this way very dajngerouse herbs are used safely without anty side effects or interactions (or dangers of overdodse, u can take an entire bottle and not feel a thing) and the homeopathiic preperastion cures the symptoms the dangerouse herbs cause. (for instance homeopathicly prepared ghonorhia is used to treat any illness that has symptoms simular to ghonorhia.) simularly, the homeopathics i used to quite smoking (extreamily easily) contained nicovamp (homeopathiclyu prepared nicoteine) and lobelia (often called indian tobaco since it has a simular effect on nerves) and other jherbs that would cause the symptoms tobaco caused including the withdraw. the homeopathic preperation removed all cravings all withdraw and healed all the dammage done by 30 years of smoking because it has pretty much the opposite effects of the herbs themselves does that make sence to you?
wow! someone else whos heard of arnica! none of the chemists/pharmacys round my way have heard of the stuff, which is crap cause we want some =]
i never thought of them haha, im a retard. my nan swears by the stuff for bruises and things, but we can never get any
I had a cat when I was a kid that would go a bit screwy if he came across household bleach - not sure if it was "chlorine bleach" containing sodium hypochlorite or "oxygen bleach", containing hydrogen peroxide, but either way he loved it. Whenever my mum mopped the kitchen floor with it she'd have to shut him outside or he'd be rolling in it, rubbing his face in it, licking it... We just assumed he was mad as a fruit bat, but maybe there's something in it. After all, animals (unlike us odd little hoomans) don't usually go out of their way to deliberately do something detrimental to their health... Can't say I fancy it myself
'Tis indeed the herb par excellance for bruises. That and hypercal cream (calendula and hypericum) for cuts and grazes, should be in every first aid kit the world over
my sis was on a first aid course recently, and she mentioned arnica, and the first aider bloke was like 'arnica? what the bloody hell is that?!' and no-one knew what it was, and what its used for =|
There's no accounting for ignorance. But then, if it's not made by Wellcome Trust or Smithcline and Beecham etc, most people haven't got a clue and are completely unaware that there's a whole wealth of alternatives out there. It's a shame, but hey-ho.
u sure it was bleach..not amonia? amonia is close enough to cat piss to set them off, make em wannaw roll in it, spray piss on it same with dogs..dogs that piss on the floor, if u use amonia to clean it up, they sence that as the place to piss so keep going back to it. at least thats my guess. but pets are known to drink antifreeze and kill emselves that way..its not like theure smart enouigh to avoid all toxins, theyre just not as stupid as us to go out of our way to injest thuings bad for us. and yea smelly, ive used arnica for many things, sore muscles after workouts u name it, any acute pain really. then switch to nux vomica or something for more chronic pain. homeopathics are amazing. they work so damn well so quickly. in philly therres a hospitol named after the inventor of homeopathy. i asked one of the dr's there why they dont use it more in the hospitol concidering how well it works and how safe it was, and he said just because its sometimes hard to find just the right formula to suite the symptoms...which can be true, eveb with a skilled homeopathic dr. but still to me it makes no sence to totaly abandon the use in favor of far more dangerouse drugs when trial and error therapy is safe and they can continue normal treatments in emergency casses.
I have these rash, blister things on my sides. I really hope it's from teatree, either that or scabies/bedbugs. I guess I should stop using teatree then.
I used tea tree oil on my sons diaper rash after I tried every other cream out there and his rash disappeared the same day but I didn't use it a lot, just a drop on a cotton ball. I had some itching and I used this "cream" that had arnica and myrcia(or something) oil and it stopped the itching right away, does anyone know why? I was researching this arnica and found it helps with circulation, I like using natural products but so hard to find.
