I took Taylor (22 months) to the ER last night. He'd been sick for three days and had begun fighting a bit to breathe. Turns out he has bacterial pneumonia. I probably have it too (as evidenced by insane amounts of wheezing). He had to get an IV of antibiotics, a throat swab, and a chest X-ray. His tonsils were all swollen and sore, which is why he didn't want to eat much. Poor kiddo. He was so brave. I know it must have been hard on him. He looked so tiny in that big old hospital bed with that itty-bitty hospital gown on. He didn't have to be hospitalized because we caught it early. He's laying on my lap now asleep. Poor little guy.
I hope you both feel better. You have been under so much stress, I am sure it is effecting your immune system, too. Please take good care of him and blessings to your healing.
Awww, poor baby and poor mama. It's so hard when your kids are sick, you feel so helpless, it hurts so much to see them not feeling well. {{{Hugs}}}
oh wow, I'm sorry to hear that... I just got home from the ER an hr ago. Croix has pneumonia too. I'm glad its just pneumonia though, they originally thought his appendix was going to burst. Whew, I'm so wiped out. I hope everything goes well for you and your little guy.
Wow, that sounds worse than what Taylor has! I wasn't even sure if I should take him to the ER. The only reason I took him was that my mama's intuition told me he was working too hard to breathe.
