Hey all! I have this tattoo on my inner wrist...not that long..maybe 3 inches long downward and as wide as my wrist(my wrist is sorta small, imma chick anyways, i had it for about 2 years....and i want to get it "covered up" with another design that i love. how much do u think this will cost and do u think i cud get it done? the colors are mostly red and black. but i dont want red or black in my new tatoo....maybe they can somehow work around it? thanks for any helP! i wanna get this done ASAP!
Dpeending on where u are at in the Us, and If the tattoo artist is good, they can pretty much work with anything that you have, I know that the one that I had on my back worked out great, and it had alot of black and red in it, and he just covered it up with dark blue and purple roses. But I am in missouri, and some of the artists here can work wonders.
i have the same problem. I got a tattoo of a spider on my stomach under my navel when I was 16. Young and stupid is what I say, because now i'm 22 and I have no Idea what in the world I was thinking back then when I got such an ugly thing. Anyway, I've been wanting to get it completely re-moved, but know there is no way I would ever be able to afford that..so I just thought about getting it turned into a butterfly. I think if I found a really good artist, it's possible. Oh yeah, and very coincidental...mine is black and red as well ;p Good luck on your cover up.
Black is pretty much impossible to cover, but it can be incorporated and blended into another design. its hard to say without seeing the tat how goodd of a coverup can be done. Look for a good artist and you will probably get something you're happy with. I've seen some amazing coverups. Also, lasering it is an option. If you want to get it covered anyway, you might be able to just get a few sessions to lighten the whole thing before doing the vocerup. If your ultimate dream is for it to be gone, I think you would be best off saving up to get it lasered rather than just making the problem bigger with a coverup. Peace
