I was never a huge Tame Impala fan, but am really digging their new album which just came out. It's much more synth oriented than their previous works, with some pretty danceable beats at times.

For those not familiar with this band, they're an Australian neo-psychedelic band that has released three albums since 2010. A lot of their music sounds Beatlesque in terms of the vocals, but with a slightly heavier and more modern psych sound.

This is one of the singles off the new album.

I prefer their second album over their first and both over their third.

There is a time when its okay to just say no to adding more synth.

    They are great live.

One of the best. Lyrics are a little lightweight but such a creamy, psychedelic sound.

I love Tame Impala! One of my favorite 'newer' bands. Definitely digging the sound.

Their album Sun Structures is pretty incredible imo. You don't see a whole lot of new up and coming bands producing music like that.

Ray LaMontagne from the Black Keys did a solo album a while back that's really good too. Along the same genre I think?

'Sun Stuctures' is by another neo-psychedelic band called Temples -- not Tame Impala.
