Any other Modest Mouse fans here? What's a good album of theirs (for a new-listener)?

I'm kinda indifferent about them, sometimes I love their stuff and other times I really get a bitter taste about them. The only album I listened to in it's entirity is "Baron Von Bullshit Rides Again"

I thought it was reallly good, it's a live album, some great tunes on it.

I use to be a GREAT BIG modest mouse fan. I got in to them about 2 years ago, and didnt stop listening to them until "good news...". I liked the album, but i personally thought it was modest mouses worst album, and their sudden popularity turned me off of them a bit.

However, the albums i suggest are:

    The Moon and Antartica
    The Lonesome Crowded West
This is a Long Drive for Someone With Nothing to Think About
    Build Nothing Out of Something
EveryWhere and his Nasty Palour Tricks

These are modest mouses greatest albums in my opinion! "The Moon and Antartica" and "The Lonesome Crowded West" are 2 of my favorite albums of all time.

"Talking Shit about a Sunset" is from "This is a Long...", Their debut album. That album also has "Dramamine", which i beleived was their most "popular" song until "float on".

Once you get at least "The Moon..." and "The Lonesome...", you will get a great feel of them. I Highly recomend you get the albums i mentioned.
