Tonight (Sunday 14th January) on CBS's Sixty Minutes Bush reportedly will be telling the nation (paraphrased) "I don't care what critics say I'm the Commander in Chief I've made up my mind I'm going ahead with the troop surge."

A 20% troop surge will do nothing to fix a situation gone 99% wrong.

And talk about Iran is really revving up. We basically attacked them this past week going after their embassy.

It gives one pause. Bush will be in power two more years. Plenty of time to cause lots more death, destruction and deterioration of our stature and security. A cornered rat. And a foolish one. He could yet sink us into a bottomless pit.

John Kerry said years ago about Vietnam "How do you ask a man to be the last one to die for a lost cause?" Then and now of course we're talking thousands.

Aware people all knew that Iran would be the next target, the question was when and how. I think that we are on the cusp of World War III here (if it hasn't already started).

I agree with you, two more years is plenty of time to run the country into the ground even further. I have a feeling that America will truly lose it's innocence and witness attacks, more loss of personal freedom, and possibly a warfront right on the continent.

Yeah, he basically said "I don't care if congress disagrees with me, I'm going to send the troops!"

    Way to go king george.

By the time that Blood Thristy, War Mongering Son Of A Bitch gets out of office, us (as in the American people) will not be able to step outside the borders of this country. Just like he wants it.

He was a failure at baseball--and a few paid for that--he was a failure at business--and more paid for that--now he's a failure at running this country--and the entire world will pay for this one.His tiny loser-ego needed a boost--now he has gawd on his side and he can do 'NO WRONG'1.

It has been said that to repeat the same action over and over and to EXPECT differant results from that repetitive action, appears to put one in the catagory of insanity.Philosophical axiom,I suppose.Pretty descriptive of our present so-called "leader".Life as we know it ,is in serious trouble.

For a long time I had been against impeachment actions thinking it would simply paralyze the country while the impeachment was fought out. Now I think it may be the only way to stop this madman from destroying us all. I fear he has really tipped completely over the edge and fully believes he is on a god ordained mission. I suspect the election was the last straw on his tenuous hold on sanity. Either that or he is the anti-christ incarnate.

Bush is a dictator and his insane ruling can t be stopped by a goverment.
It can be stopped by people or with World War III, which he is creating. Maybe he is diging his own grave. He is leadng a political war with the whole world. I can t belive when I see dead civilians every day on the news and nobody is making a move. I spoke with my friends about it and they only say:" We can t do anything about it. Who will fight Americans?" That is the spirit we sure don t want or need, becouse dead people ( mostly children) are filling the graves and we don t move a muscle. I think that the judgement day will come soon if somebody doesn t make a move.

This is a fight over oil, oil which bush was drowning in before he was president.

I can't even talk right now because i'm so pissed and depressed and gah...
