me and a friend are lookin to find a nice camp/hike area to spend a few days soon with some buddies. im gonna do some searching online but thought i'd drop a line here. so if anyone knows a place that has some nice trails and views. preferably a place thats not crowded. we arent lookin to hang around the campsite a lot so a place with some activities near by. anyways state parks n such are out of the question since we wanna bring some beer and that kind of thing... random question- anyone know about fire laws; can you build fires anywhere???
no, you can't build fires anywhere, they gotta be in a place set up for a fire. But in the middle of nowhere, it wouldn't matter much. Across the border in kentucky, there are some killer sopts, just drive around for a while and you'll find some.
Check out Hocking Hills. There are some great places to camp there. I recommend Top o' the caves if you are looking for a drive up type campsite. But there is a great place you can rent a yurt on 14 private acres fairly reasonably we had it for 5 days with 10 people it was less than $250. We go out that way often and the yurt is by far our favorite spot. There is an indian mound nearby, and lots of great hiking and such nearby.
