I'm starting tai-chi classes in a few weeks, doing the softer wu style. Anyone done it before. I know very little about it, but apart from my meditation I felt I needed something else aswell to help discipline me and heard tai-chi was quiet good.
Its so easy thats is not. It will take time to learn correctly and you will definitely feel it. I highly reccomend it.
Tai Chi is a very good method of calming oneself. I took it for almost a year about two years ago, and have recently picked it up again. Once you have gotten into the class and got a hold of the form, it is a cool thing to read the Tao Te Ching, and understanding Taoist philosophy. It's really wild how much philosophy there is in Tai Chi. Have fun
Talk to these dudes at http://www.threetemples.com i take old Yang style from them, but they teach other styles as well. They are hands down the most knowledge internal martial arts teachers i've met.
I would also highly recomend tai chi. Althou I am still new to both tai chi and meditation- I would say that tai chi has helped me greatly as an introduction to meditaion. I also use tai chi to aid meditaion- I do tai chi directly before meditation to calm myself and get me in the mood.
I've been learning Tai Chi, and I must say it's really cool. You won't regret spending your time at it. And yes, definitely read Tao Te Ching.
